It is also not won in November. Lloyd Benson who wasn't even on the ballot for President and he got an Electoral vote.

I was thinking of this the other day. How does one even go about becoming an Elector?

Oh, you must be an establishment GOP, the party picks the "cream of the crop" so that electors are loyal underlings to the party.
