The rally will also feature Senate candidate Ted Cruz, who is among the GOP candidates in the Lone Star state seeking the seat of U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison.

Cruz has been described as the Texas version of Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, another Tea Party favorite elected in 2010.

I think they call him that because he's also the son of Cuban emigres. I can't vouch for Cruz 100% and sometimes he comes across as a little too slick, but, he's come out very strong against NDAA, SOPA/PIPA and the TSA. Also, he has not received Marco Rubio's endorsement. Finally, I don't think Ron would appear at a rally with him if he were as bad as Marco Rubio. (I wouldn't consider Ron's appearance at the rally as necessarily an endorsement of Cruz, though.)

This is good. I'm glad to see the campaign throwing some Tea Party rallies. It's good to bring back proper context and show people how its done. Nowhere better than the Lone Star state. Can't wait to see how Texas pans out for us.
