SCOTUS rejects the redistricting map drawn by a Texas court. Judges exceeded their authority & abridged that of Tx leg

That Tx will go back to the previous district maps? Maybe that is why the conventions have been using the 2010 precinct numbers instead of the new 2012 ones.

Does that change our delegate numbers in various areas? Anyhow, I just wanted to put the info out there so people would take it into account.

Bump. Synopsis anyone? I don't know how the old or new districts affected things. A short and sweet description here would be great. Is this beneficial or detrimental to our campaign?

That happened on January 20 and was the reason the convention process in Texas was so screwed up this year. We didn't have precinct conventions. At the county conventions that just convened, no one had voter registration cards because they hadn't been mailed out yet (due to the delays associated with fixing the problems). As I understand it, everything is settled now.

This is why we need nonpartisan independent redistricting commissions like civilized countries.
