Here's from CNN's website:

"46 total delegates: Possibly 20 tied to March 24 primary; 5 additional statewide delegates are chosen by the state convention and are uncommitted; 18 district delegates are uncommitted but CNN may estimate according to district-by-district vote results; 3 unpledged RNC members."

So, does this mean we're possibly gonna get 74% of 43 delegates? After the 3 "RNC members" are set aside for Romney? And what does "Possibly 20 tied to March 24 primary" mean???

Furthermore, why would Romney, with all of his money to hire people, let a candidate who won 6% of the popular vote in Louisiana win the majority of delegates? Does Romney maybe not care since he expects to have enough "winner-take-all" delegates from other states? I'm puzzled.

Update: OK I now see that Mittens only got 27% of the popular vote in Louisiana. Sorry I spaced on this fact. Does this mean that Gingrich and Santorum delegates stood down for Paul delegates in some kind of smoke filled back room deal? And maybe Ron delegates will give it up for Santorum/Newt in other states?

there are a number of threads, it happened last night. Media ignored it until Ron sent out a PRESS RELEASE. Can you believe he had to do a PRESS RELEASE announcing he had won a state?

And yes, we have 74%. Check out the threads indexed on the front page story and in the weekend thread index stickied to the top.

Check out the threads indexed on the front page story

I'm not sure what you are referring to here. Can you elaborate a little? Thanks.

weekend thread index

Not sure what this is. I guess I'm not very RPF site savvy. Help!

stickied to the top.

Not sure what "stickied" means in the blog sense. Like, "positioned" at the top? Sorry for my lack of computer vernacular.

If you go to the front page of the forum there is a story. Click it. The threads are also indexed there.

Stickied means stuck to the top of the page so they don't drop off.

That was so people could come on here and catch up with what was happening over the weekend. But most of the threads are listed in the story on the front page.

Thank you. While we're on the subject, I'm assuming the "front page" you're referring to is at www.ronpaulforums.com but if I click on the Ron Paul Forums Liberty Forest logo at the top of this page I go to this page: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/forum.php

Is there something I can click on and get directly to the "front page" page? Thanks.

Even if Romney did care, I don't think there's much he can do about delegates being for Ron Paul. If all the delegates want to be Ron Paul delegates, then Romney can't change that even if he did care. In fact, I think he does care, but there's very little he can do to change the orientation of the delegates who got voted in.

Go to "Liberty Forums" and click on the 2nd or 3rd one to the top, called "Grassroots Central." That's where all the relevant threads concerning the election will be.

Shouldn't Mittens take his $$ millions of dollars and hire people to flood these conventions? There's something I'm not getting here...

Plus what about Santorum/Newt? Are his people simply not showing up?

you click on 'home' to go to the front page. Upper left corner (or as far as you can go that has writing).
The main 'headlines' are in the middle.

Explore!!

We show up.

I don't get what you don't get about this.

Here's what I don't get: In Louisiana 91,305 people drove to the polling places and voted for Santorum. 49,749 did the same for Romney. So.. 1) I find it very peculiar that only a small fraction of these voters would need to show up to presumably outnumber the Paul supporters, yet, in fact, fail to do so. 2) Doesn't Romney (especially) have the resources to send plenty of folks to these caucuses to represent him?

Ron Paul supporters turn out. Caucuses take longer than primaries. Although this one frankly didn't take as long as most. You basically just voted for the slate you wanted, as I understand it. I don't know if there were speeches or anything.

Ron would have won the LA caucuses even in 2008 if they hadn't pulled dirty tricks. They moved the caucuses back so they'd be late in the process and a number from LA felt it was because the LAGOP knew Ron would win.

Thanks for the tips and your patience with me. One other follow up question: I'm still not quite clear where the "weekend thread index" is located (I do understand what you've said about the indexed threads in the proximity of the "front page" stories).

click on 'Ron Paul Grassroots Central' and the threads near the top are 'stickied', they don't go anywhere until a mod releases them. It is there, but they are also indexed in the write up on the home page.

I don't mind telling you. I lurked at DP in 2008 and not here because I didn't even know how to navigate to another thread. If google gave me a thread, I read it, and left.... mind you, I also figured Josh would do terrible things with my email....
