I hope delegates on the ground in Utah are prepared to take some delegate spots at tomorrow's convention (although I don't know the situation in Utah)
On April 21, the Utah State Republican Convention convenes.
The Nominating Convention selects a National Committeeman, a National Committeewoman, and the National Convention Delegates.
The National Convention delegates elected today will be bound to a Presidential Contender according to the results of the June 26 Presidential Preference Primary.
Although this state is a virtual lock for Romney in June, we can still dig into that delegate count if he never reaches 1144. After the first ballot Utah's delegates can proceed to vote for whichever candidate they prefer. There are 40 delegates at stake.
