Okay. Update. I was so tired when I got home last night I didn't even turn on my computer. That's tired. Myself, a friend, my son and his buddy were going to leave at noon and go up to the rally. At the last minute we ended up getting seats to the lunch. I went up to the kids' high school, and pulled them out of class and said, umm. we have to leave early... they were like, well we have to take Austin's truck to his house first, blah blah. I'm like, NO, you don't understand we have to leave NOW. Nate's like, "jeez you act like we're meeting Ron Paul or something..." and I didn't say anything... I was going to surprise the little stinkers, but they knew. RAN to the Jeep.... hahahah.
Got to the lobby of the Holiday Inn. Everyone dressed for success. We're all in our RP gear. OOPS. Didn't care. We ended up somehow being first in line, got pics taken with Ron (they will be uploaded on Flickr sometime in the next day or two. My digital battery was dead. (Really). Talked to Carol and Linda. They are great. Carol is the nicest lady. I commented that I actually owned the same suit she was wearing, she said, "this thing is old!" Linda said she's having the time of her life.
Then the boys got interviewed by the Elmira news.
Story and video here.

Had lunch (salad, beef, grean beans almondine, iced tea, cheesecake, coffee). Ron spoke during dessert/coffee. Questions. Book signing. I commented to Rom before he signed my Manifesto that Tuesday would be the third time I voted for him. He thanked me and kinda looked at me funny like I wasn't old enough to have voted then. LOVED THAT. Then Carol leaned over and said, Ron, these boys got surprised this morning, they didn't know they were coming here. He kinda chuckled. She signed my cookbook and made Ron sign that, too. LOL.
Went and walked around a little. We were driving up to campus and these cops came flying past, and I'm thinking, "oh shit" the pajama protestors," but up the road a little there was a car up on a sidewalk in front of a little cafe... They had actually plowed through the outdoor tables in front of the place and people were lying on the ground." It was just awful.

We got up to the Rink and there were only like 10 people there, so we were in a great spot in the line. People arrived, signs, shirts, literature, it was so cool. I was getting worried because at like 5:45 there were only about 750 people in line, but that worked out we packed the place. We all got interviewed again for a Syracuse University something or other. Haven't found that footage yet.
I see Angel added some of my pics to her article.

There were no protestors. There was, however, one very brave Obama supporter who was seated at the way back of the venue, who began walking back and forth holding up his sign, chanting, "Obama, etc..." This was countered with 4500 people screaming "ass-hole, ass-hole." I didn't see the whole thing, but his sign ended up ripped in two and security escorted him out. (More than likely they feared for his safety) but I didn't see anyone get physical. That dude really didn't need to take his sign. Uncalled for, I thought. Free speech and all.
Gotta get ready for work. *sigh*
