As you all know, I have been closely watching the shenanigans and in some cases outright fraud taking place in the delegate caucuses. A lot is happening in Alaska right now.. Just want you to know that I am in touch with people on the ground there... all I can tell you at this point is that a very big story is coming out in a couple of weeks. Wish I could say more... but timing is sensitive.

Wow, let's hope it's something big enough for the rest of the media to stop ignoring all the shananigans... And if Ben says it's big....

Pulitzer is for the written press. I believe you mean a Peabody Award (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peabody_award).

maybe that's the point, they don't want to rock boats until after......or maybe it's putting all the pieces together....

This better have something to do with Romney and the word "Scandal."

Or establishment, if not Romney. I'm thinking they have played this game before, and Romney is just the current candidate being cycled through.

I think I'm in love with this guy. The work he's done this election cycle has been absolutely outstanding. Truly a modern-day muckraker. Where the fuck did he come from, anyway?

If we could win Alaska and Nevada that would take a huge chip out of Romney delegates count.

Nevada is bound on the first vote by primary but the actual people matter after that. I don't know if we would have the strength to get that changed.

All or half? I heard half earlier?

Either way they can abstain possibly.

Those bound to Romney will be bound under the new rules for this election. Depending on how many drop out or release delegates, there may be some beyond Ron's who can vote for him first thing. They don't usually even actually take a count if you are bound, they just report the numbers so there is no real way to abstain.

Do we know anything about this big news yet? Any hints?

My bet is Ben Swann is waiting until after Alaska. The post on his facebook wall ensures that Alaska knows some sort of press will be watching them regarding the delegate fees. They will then let in the delegates.

The idea that a bound delegate can abstain is a myth. It would defeat the whole purpose of bound vs unbound delegations. If you are a bound delegate, you must vote in accordance to who the state says you are to vote for in the first round.
