If we are going to be honest like we wish the media to be then we need to show all polls. Not just the ones that seem favorable.

http://www.gallup.com/poll/150743/Obama-Romney.aspx Gallup-Romney leads

http://nation.foxnews.com/barack-obama/2012/04/14/rasmussen-romney-5-over-obama Rasmussen-Romney leads

Pew within margin of error.

According to these polls Romney is very electable, and he has just started to go after Obama.

There's no point in voting for Romney because he simply does NOT stand for CONSERVATIVES! Voting for Romney is almost like voting for Obama; they're practically the same guy from a conservative standpoint, they both support Patriot Act, NDAA, wars, healthcare, bailouts, corporatism, Fed's inflationary policies, taxes, more debt, no plan to balance the budget & the list goes on & on

And Romney has flip-flopped on CRITICAL coservative issues such as gun-rights, abortion, 10th amendment, 4th amendment

If GOP nominates a LIBERAL like Romney then conservatives should go ahead & might as well cast their votes for Obama as protest-votes so that the next time GOP offers them a damn CONSERVATIVE candidate

If Romney is electable...the Republican party is finished.

And Ron Paul has barely attacked Romney. Everyone else that he has attacked, he has destroyed. I guess that is what INTEGRITY and HONOR do for you, opposed to toady and plasticity. Ron just has to be honest, Mitt has to spin and lie.

while i agree that different polls show Romney or Obama leading, I also think that it is just beginning.
The Obama machine will rout him pretty soon, there is nothing based on policy on which Romney can go after Obama.

obama/romney 2012 more of the same!

? That is what those polls seem to boil it all down to. (I'll still take the NOBP vote option)

obama/romney (or romney/obama) 2012 so then "RoBoma" will be re-elected, easily.

??? Maybe the electoral college will "make" Jeb Bush POTUS ...just for (more) fun!

BETTER YET, IF RP could move his 'delegates' strategy up a notch, and secure those electoral college votes... shhh!

Even the GOP establishment doesn't think Romney can beat Obama; he's flip=flopped on so many issues that he'll be ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED by 100s of millions of Obama's campaign-money
He has absolutely no issues, he's just a moderate-liberal & his ONLY issue is his "electability", that's all he's got, NOTHING ELSE
If he's elected then conservatives will turn their back on GOP again just like they did last time they put up a moderate-liberal, McCain

RED 5, I DONT know what your agenda is, but if you come here in hopes of trying to get all of us to change our mind an vote for your guy, your sadly mistaken!!!! mitt has no shot in hell to knock off obama!!! i dont care what any of the polls say!! where are romneys independant votes at? where are mitts young voters at? the truth of the matter is the only people going to vote for mitt are the establishment republicans and the anyone but obama people... the very bad part for you is that is not going to be nearly enough to knock off obama!!! now RON PAUL on the other hand does poll very very well against obama and leads him in the latest ras poll... Ron Paul does pull in the votes of the indies and youngsters and actually he pulls iin all types of voters including dems!!! ron paul is in fact the only one THAT WILL DEFEAT obama!! TAKE THAT TO GOLDMAN SACHS!

That is true.

Romney can't go after Obama for ANYTHING important because he is either guilty of participating in the same stripping of liberties or he advocates it. Obama & Romney will have to argue about who is the best dog owner. Or which wife works the hardest.

Romney SUPPORTS and ADVOCATES all the bad stuff Obama is doing: secret prisons, covert war, invading other countries in the name of democracy for global strategical & investment reasons, stripping Americans of their civil rights and setting up Fusian Intelligence Centers (soon to be replaced with Mobile Centers) for domestic "data" gathering--Fusian Centers started with Mitt Romney in MA while Romney was co-head of Governor's Homeland Security Council. Romney was key to the spy center proto-type "intelligence centers" and wiretapping and data gathering that has SINCE gone nationwide. "See something, say something"<spy on your neighbor> was first sold to the public in Massachusetts.

NOW, According to this Washington Post Investigative Report, the "Fusian Intelligence Centers" are accountable to NOBODY and have become so large & so unwieldy and so secretive that no one knows how much money it costs, how many people it employs, how many programs exist within it or exactly how many agencies do the same work. http://projects.washingtonpost.com/top-secret-america/articles/a-hidden-world-growing-beyond-control/2/ <-Must read article.

They are closing the physical sites and going to mobile centers according to Information Week Government: I only JUST found out about the physical "intelligence centers" collecting domestic data...look how MANY OF THEM THERE ARE and the EXPENSE http://www.informationweek.com/news/galleries/government/enterprise-architecture/231903162?pgno=1.

My state actually has online information about its "Intelligence Center", http://www.in.gov/iifc/. Many states don't make the information public.

In my opinion.

Don't think that if people KNEW Romney is anti-liberty and anti-constitutional it WOULDN'T MATTER.

Liberty is a HOT issue where I live.

Amish and Mennonites are being arrested and harassed for raw milk. Heritage pigs that people have been breeding for over a 100 years are being shot by the DNR because their fur is the wrong color. And FEMA just said most of our county is a flood zone although there has NEVER been a flood here SO everyone with a mortgage got a letter demanding we show proof of FLOOD INSURANCE. And Agenda 21 has gotten involved in some pre-school thing which has our fundamental churches up in arms.

Romney is all over the web with video and his op-eds promoting Agenda 21 and NDAA and ending cyber freedom...I need videos EMPHASIZING THAT ROMNEY IS ANTI-CONSTITUTIONAL AND SHOWING HIS STANCE ON AGENDA 21 -- it's probably the HOTTEST item getting people where I live fired up.

When Sheriff Mack gave a speech here, people were standing outside in the hall trying to hear. There wasn't enough room for everyone.

This IS an issue that matters and people need to know Romney's positions are just as dangerous (if not more so) than Obama's.

In my opinion.

And Ron Paul has barely attacked Romney. Everyone else that he has attacked, he has destroyed. I guess that is what INTEGRITY and HONOR do for you, opposed to toady and plasticity. Ron just has to be honest, Mitt has to spin and lie.

Where did this come from? Dr. Paul has been consistently above dirty politics and personal attacks- heck it's one of the thing I admire most about the man. But none of his attacks have been particularly effective in taking down other candidates- they have a dropped out due to personal weaknesses (Cain, Perry, Bachmann, Pawlenty), inability to do as well as they needed to (Huntsman, Bachmann, Pawlenty in the Straw Poll), or due to simple lack of organization (Santorum).

The only candidate who's attacks have really 'destroyed' anyone is Romney, and that is because he absolutely buried his opponents (something he won't be able to do in the general, mind you, unless Obama's fund raising numbers are absolutely pathetic).

On a different subject...

I would not say that Romney is likely to beat Obama, but to say that he has 'no chance' is clearly untrue. In the worst Presidential cycle for Republicans since... well, since before World War II, really, McCain got over 46% of the vote. Granted McCain actually wasn't a bad candidate at all (it is delusional to think that anyone could beat Obama in 2008) but it is likely that Romney has at least 46% of the vote going for him. Given that the general excitement for Obama has decreased rapidly, it is likely that he won't get near his vote totals of 2008. And given that so many people dislike Obama it is likely that many would walk over glass to vote against him.

Now Romney has many weaknesses, and Obama many strengths, but that quick analysis shows one reason why many Republicans believe that Romney is 'electable'.

I wouldn't vote for him if I were forced at gunpoint.
