"The borrower is servant to the lender."
-Proverbs 22:7

With our National Debt approaching $16 TRILLION, and at 100% of our GDP, there's no doubt that America is servant to someone. So why don't we feel like it, or act like, or govern like it? Because our lenders have not come calling yet. But they will, and then we will discover that we have burdened the next generation with crushing debt. And we made our children servants-- or worse, slaves, if you ask me.

Entitlement spending is redistribution of wealth. Most readers wouldn't dispute that. But it's not from rich to poor as much as it is from future generations to current generations. We are counting on our children to pay for our Social Security and Medicare checks in 20 years. What do most families do for their children? Set up a college savings fund. Put money in, so their child has that future opportunity. What is our government doing? Taking money from our children and giving it to us, or our parents!

How are they doing this? Through deficit spending! As Congressman Ron Paul has stated multiple times, "Deficits mean future tax increases, pure and simple. Deficit spending should be viewed as a tax on future generations, and politicians who create deficits should be exposed as tax hikers." Deficits beget debt of course. We pay $220 BILLION a year in interest on our debt. That's not even paying back our loans. That's more money than we spend on ALL Federal pensions in a year. Oh, by the way...fast-forward to 2016. That amount has doubled to $440 BILLION. When a child is born today, his or her share of the debt is $182,000.

So, former Rick Santorum-supporter...If the Bible says that borrowing money is becoming servant to someone else, why are we borrowing over $1 TRILLION ever year, on OUR children's names and making them servants to some other idol? As Christians, it is our moral obligation to fight every unbalanced budget and debt ceiling hike. I know only one politician running for President who has fought every unbalanced budget and debt ceiling hike.

I, for one, believe Ron Paul has been the only logical solution to our deficit trouble.

Economists even agree that Ron Paul's policies are the only ones that actually provide REAL cuts. The higher this debt goes the more danger we're in.

Dr. Paul has repeatedly said that he won't use his Christian faith for political gain. He lets his policies and ideas speak for themselves, and we're finally beginning to see things turn around
