Anybody feel all this stupid news about the 800K on this conference is just MSM smokescreen?

I mean the GSA hacks should not have "lived it up", but the news, inquiries etc make them out to be criminals. Probably for some of those people they look at the same white walls year round like many of u s. How much money are the DC investigations costing the taxpayers? All the staffers, congressman, electricity, correspondence etc has to be way over 800K. Ive been to private company 'events' that are just as 'lavish' and nobody blinks an eye. Again that doesnt mean the GSA should be having huge parties, but in some regards its cultural and they want to 'feel' like their equivalents in private industry. Vegas makes huge money on these events as do many other towns. Goto the RNC convention, I bet you will find larger more lavish parties easily.

How about cracking open the waste at the DOE, or at the Pentagon. That is where some of the leeches live? Maybe the boondoggles the state department takes? 800K is chump change at those agencies easily

This stuff gets me pissed to no end. The MSM is worthless and so are the losers in DC wasting money investigating it. Fire them all and give up the policing

you people have NO idea of the epic level of financial malfeasance at GSA, it is so bad you can't really fully grasp it until you have witnessed it firsthand

Any and all exposure of government corruption is good, yes this is small amounts of money and yes the rot and criminal actions extend way past the bureaucrats into the ranks of the elected officials and beyond, but maybe someone will turn on someone else and get the ball rolling to have the whole lot of them indicted, arrested, tried, convicted and jailed for their malfeasance in office.

When I was in the Navy (late 70's) the GSA was out of control......Pretty safe bet it hasn't gotten better..

Realistically though GSA is only a drop in the bucket.

Jailed by whom?

Remember the "Just-Us" system?

Even federal employees know about biting the hand that feeds them.
