they talk about liberal judges treating the Constitution like a door mat.

I'm going to mark up their letter with plenty of annotations and send it back. This is BS.

Of course you should send it back... They were nice enough to "remember" to put Ron Paul on the ballot, don't let him down by letting your anger overcloud the necessity of them knowing there are a lot of long-term republicans supporting him.

should I also send the letter back with annotations and comments, or just be nice and send back the poll?

So whats the big deal? Ron Paul is GOP, so are many of us - why not send the party some bucks?

UtahApocalypse

Send it with no check, but a note stating you are supporting a Republican candidate and ALL money is going to him. Then say that They will receive money when the Nominate Dr. Ron Paul.

because the letter is way too assumptive, and the assumptions within completely go against mine and Dr. Paul's principles.

Wow that was a pretty ugly letter. I don't mean the content, I mean every other paragraph was either normal, bold, underlined, capitalized, it was very messy. =p

I get them in the mail.

I wrote back saying "I can no longer support your cause until you stop the smear and disgraceful treatment you have shown towards the only true conservtive running - Ron Paul. " etc.. or something along those lines.

I am sure they are getting alot of these back... you, me and i am sure many many others.

WE DON'T HAVE A MOMENT TO WASTE! (you're right, people need to be informed about Ron Paul!)

left wing billionaires like George Soros compare the Bush administration to Nazi Germany (gee, I wonder why)

total democrat control would decimate our economy and undermine our security.
(i didnt realize Bush was a democrat now... )

I'd have put "reforming and simplifying" taxes instead of lowering them (since I think the efficiency savings from simpler taxes would allow rates to be lowered anyway), but other than that I like what you've done. :D

I like how they pretend to put every issue on equal footing, but you can easily tell the one they really care about, and it's not abortion, gun rights, fiscal policy, or borders...

these retards still don't understand that the reason people are sitting out this election is because the RNC has lost its way and they hated Bush's policies. And these guys expect people to donate by outlining George Bush's platform?

I think I'll send them this letter:

Mr. Duncan:

I will not be donating any money to the RNC at this time. The letter I received was a disgrace to true conservatives. The founding fathers would be ashamed. The republican party has been tarnished by the Bush administration and their eagerness to spread the message of needless war while wasting money and life. Up until recently, people have been leaving the party in droves. However, I have learned that many new faces are joining the Republican party simply because of their support for Ron Paul.

The RNC has lost its way. We need to get back to our conservative roots. I am going to contribute any extra money I have to the Ron Paul campaign. And after he wins the election, and the RNC returns to its roots of Constitutionalism, then maybe I will donate to your cause.

Sincerely,

Patrick A. Krott

what do you think?

I'd send them a VOIDED check for $1,000. Let them know Ron Paul got it instead. And if they ever had the stones to back him and promote him as the future of the party, you'd be convinced they were worth sending money to. Until then, not a dime!

edit: and don't forget to throw in a slimjim!

YOu know whats funny.. the RNC has loads more money than the DNC.. Imagine if Ron Paul gets the nomination.. theyll have to use their money to support him.. wouldnt that just be grand.

I added the middle paragraph

Mr.

Your letter states “There has never been such a massive democrat fundraising advantage in modern politics.” Have you ever thought that perhaps there is a reason for this? Yet you have the nerve to send a letter that basically outlines and supports the entire Bush platform. Your actions are mind-boggling and laughable.

The RNC has lost its way. We need to get back to our conservative roots. I am going to contribute any extra money I have to the Ron Paul campaign. And after he wins the election, and the RNC returns to its roots of Constitutionalism, then maybe I will donate to your cause.

Sincerely,

Patrick A. Krott

I never get them in the mail despite me being a Republican. I would personally send back their survey and write a stern letter about their treatment of Ron Paul and why you will not be donating to their party.

A nice hand written letter will do wonders to show that you care about the direction the party has gone. It may also make them realize that they need to reverse course.

i typed it.

my handwriting looks like poo.

its all sealed in the prepaid envelope.. poll, slim-jim, and letter.

I made sure to give them the original slim-jim, with Reagan on it.. and it reads "a true conservative. a real republican"

I definitely think mentioning that only Ron Paul will be able to defeat the Democrats in 2008 would be worth it.

criticizing your local GOP party types is totally misguided - its never a good idea to criticize in writing - just send them a small check and let them know you are a Ron Paul supporter.

Yeah, you might enclose another check for $1.

Edit: Make that 10¢ and tell them there's not a dime's worth of difference between the two parties.

Read the first page of the RNC letter again and then remember this quote from Dr. Paul in the Sept debate:

"NO! We've dug a hole for ourselves and we've dug a hole for our party. We're losing elections and we're going down next year if we don't change it and it has all to do with foreign policy and we have to wake up to this fact."

If it were me answering that letter (I don't get them) I would have to highlight that section and put a big black "DUH" on there and give them this quote.
