President Obama and Mitt Romney are tied in a national head-to-head match-up, according to the latest survey from conservative polling outlet Rasmussen.

Each pulled 45 percent, while Texas Rep. Ron Paul (R) edged Obama 44 to 43 in the daily tracking poll. The Rasmussen poll could be an outlier — most recent polls show Obama leading Romney nationally, and a number of polls in March showed the president stretching his lead to double digits.

The Real Clear Politics average of polls, which includes Thursday’s Rasmussen tie, shows the president with a 5.3 percent lead.

However, when Romney’s primary GOP rival Rick Santorum pulled out of the race earlier this week, Republicans and Democrats alike marked the occasion as the beginning of the Obama-Romney general election.

If other national polls in the upcoming weeks also show the race tightening, it could be a sign that Republicans have taken to rallying around their presumptive nomine, for what most analysts believe will be a tight race that will be determined by a handful of critical battleground states.

So now he beats Obama in a poll ?

If this trend continues, I wonder what will happen in Tampa.

The only question is, do republicans love war and a police state that the think is aimed at "mooselums" more than they hate Obama.

Of course, which is why they're putting up Mitt Romney against Obama, and every other flavor of the month was/is a full fledged supporter of the police and war state.

'Conservatives' often say the MSM is in the bag for Obama.

Running net worth $190,000,000.00 Romney in this economy to defeat Obama is certainly to the MSM and the democrats liking when Romney and Obama are tied in polls.

Or is the economy not that bad meaning Obama might've "fixed it"?

Or..?

It's the strategy stupid.

Yeah, I shared that one in a few places.;)

Ron Paul consistently polled equal to or higher than all the other GOP stooges, and also polled higher than Obama in many polls.

He consistently polls the best among "independents" as well.

Ron Paul was the GOP's best chance at beating Obama, and instead, they are fixing to nominate "Obama Light".

(pun certainly intended, his skin color is the only thing that is "lighter", politically, Romney and Obama are essentially the same.)

And they will lose, again, like they did in 2008.

There are even Mormon Groups trying to do everything in their power to prevent Romney from taking the GOP Nomination! They are disassociating themselves from him because of the Financial Fraud pointers coming out aganist Romney and his Financial Campaign Backers! More good news for us!

And as if that wasnt enough, the Santorum Delegates are coming over to our side and many are completely opposed to Romney! One website has indicated the Missouri Caucus will belong to Ron Paul!

Keep fighting! We are poised to take this thing all the way to the top!

The GOP establishment would rather have Obama win than Ron Paul. That is how much they hate him and his ideas of freedom.

That's true, Ricky.

If Barry were to win this year, the GOP wouldn't like it, but they'd swallow it and then gear up for 2014 and 2016.

But if Ron Paul were to win, it would be a true game-changer.

The GOP can't allow a real hatchet to be taken to government and they can't allow for a large part of the gov to be given back to the people.

If anyone believes that the media will tell the people the truth, that person is naive.

Time and time again we see the complete lack of professionalism when it comes to covering the news.

The major news networks set their own agendas.

To be honest, I don't know why anyone would ever watch any of them.

Traditional news, like Fox, MSNBC, CNN, ABC, etc. are so old-fashion. The younger generations are going online and finding the news. The only people who still watch the major networks are the older ones. They are out biggest obstacle.

It doesn't help that a lot of them just vote themselves a paycheck. Just watch Stossel's show on medicare. That's the sad/pathetic truth.

We must fight on. Our job is to prevent Mitt Romney from getting the magic number of 1144. If we can do that, we have a chance.

With that chance, comes reward of not only winning the nomination, but showing the world that the MSM is full of shit, as they have already set the narrative of Obama v Romney.

Lets f*cking do this!

I know people are stupid, but I'm having a difficult time understanding why people would enthusiastically support the likes of Romney in what was presumably an anti-government environment. Romneycare alone should be a dealbreaker considering all of the anger people have toward Obamacare.

Romney and Obama are the establishment, and neither of them threaten said establishment.

Obamacare, War, Trillions in debt, and legislative control are here to stay ... That's why if they're gonna change faces, it has to be Romney.
