What does it cost for 25 secret service men and two planes and 12 other girls to go to Mexico for a birthday party?

Why isn't this put out by the major radio and TV news networks?

After driving the U.S. more deeply into debt than any other President, Want to know where Obama's 13 year-old daughter is right now with 12 friends?

She took two jets and 25 secret service men. A thirteen year-old?Why haven't you heard about it?

The other question is what kind of idiot parents would sent their child off to a place which is supposedly off limits for Americans safety? I guess security is not a problem when you have 25 secret service men baby sitting.

Absolutely Infuriating! On "spring break" in Oaxaca Mexico, on your dime.

Originally there were press reports on this but the White House citing 'security concerns' asked the news agencies to scrub the story.

That story has appeared in the Edmonton Journal in my province. Oops, it's in print, so it looks like the administration won't be able to remove that fast enough.

That story has appeared in the Edmonton Journal in my province. Oops, it's in print, so it looks like the administration won't be able to remove that fast enough. this was actually a month ago, over Spring Break, not 'right now'. Not that it makes a difference to the cost, but this has already happened and I saw it on other news on television as well.

Anyways, I hope the kids are safe and well protected. Id be sick if something happened to any of them. Its not their fault that their dad (or their friends' dad) sucks so much as a prez..

To be honest Obama exploiting his position for this sort of hedonistic satisfaction is less of a concern for me than his wanting to destroy the USA.

The first is just tacky, the second is a different word beginning with t.

Federal limo fleet increased by 73% under Obama administration

The number of limousines owned by the U.S. government increased by 73 percent during the first two years of the Obama administration, according to a new report by iWatch news.

An analysis of General Services Administration data reveals the federal fleet has increased from 238 limos in 2008---the last year of the Bush Administration--- to 412 limos in 2010. Much of the increase was recorded in the State Department under Hillary Clinton.

For its part, the Obama administration said the increased number of limousines in the federal fleet reflects "an enhanced effort to protect diplomats and other government officials in a dangerous world."

Just last week, President Obama issued a directive stating that by 2015 all vehicles purchased by the government must be "alternative fuel vehicles" such as hybrids and electric cars.

This is a funny thread--but how in the hell can 10-14 year-old kids pay for the secret service and private planes to jet them to Mexico? We paid for this, even if Malia bought her own slurpie out of her allowance while down there.

The secret service came along because of one of the kids on the trip, not because the trip was a special trip for the first family. I haven't read about private air travel on any reputable source. Also, those secret service agents were going to get paid that week whether they were in DC or in Mexico.

Well, generally speaking Obama drove up the debt by 4 trillion, where bush had driven it up by about 6 trillion

Right. We paid for it. You think it didn't cost any extra to send those agents along? You think it didn't cost any extra to shore up security in an area considered dangerous enough that our gov't recommends that we stay away from it? Did those agents have their own hotel rooms, or did they just stay awake during the whole trip?

Some new agencies did indeed report on it in the beginning and criticized him for allowing his daughter to go to Mexico when we are telling our citizens not to go because of how unsafe it is. But, then again, the average American citizen doesn't have 25 SS agents.
