I like the ad but if there ever was someone from Texas who does not fit the bigger is better persona of Texas it is Ron Paul. :)

Good ad. Casting the shadow of a doubt on the other candidates.

I like how it calls Gingrich 'the moon colony guy', that definitely sticks and wont do Newt any good...

Romney isn't supposed to be all that popular in Texas is he ? Because the least amount of attention seems to be drawn to Romney (after the moon colony guy takes away the attention).

I'm not a Texan, but if I were one, I'd like this ad and vote Paul! :D

This is great! I'm so glad to see the campaign pushing his Texan roots. I can see this ad going over quite well here... :)

I like the idea of calling "them" bureaucracies" instead of "departments". It's easier to push ending a bureaucracy. Who in their right mind would want one...or at least, admit it.

Romney is who the Bush family has been backing, so yes, he will likely get the establishment vote in Texas.

Unfortunately when Texans say they like everything bigger they are also talking about their government. That's why Rick Perry has been their governor for so long.

This may be true but it wasn't long ago that Debra Medina was looking like such a threat to Perry that he enlisted Beck to torpedo her campaign with the truther stuff.

Good ad. Hopefully they have enough money to run it a good bit.

Love it, but an emphasis on gun control would have put this thing over the top in my opinion

I'm positive Santorum will head into Texas talking about guns and the bible, that is, if he makes it to Texas

If you guys want to see the official campaign air this ad please spread the word about the money bomb that is coming up this Sunday:

http://www.InToWin2012.com

The official campaign needs money to air these ads! Even if you can't donate any money spread the word about the money bomb so all Ron Paul supporters know that it's happening this weekend.

Thanks

"
...

Paul has also launched an "in it to win it" money bomb, with a goal of raising $2 million on April 15. The Houston Chronicle reports Paul will also hold fundraisers in Dallas and San Antonio."

Great ad! :D bBut what the hell about his "electability"? Presenting him as "ANTI-OBAMA" & his appeal with Independents & Democrats is CRITICAL; that's the ONLY reason Romney is the "frontrunner" because people THINK he's "electable" & "can beat Obama"

"Electability" has been Ron's single biggest stumbling block & very little is being done to counter that meme :(

This is great! I'm so glad to see the campaign pushing his Texan roots. I can see this ad going over quite well here... :)

I agree, his Texanness definitely needs to harped on, especially his STRONGLY pro-gun policy!

+1

Yes, calling them "departments" makes them seem useful, BUREAUCRACIES is the perfect word to discredit their pathetic existence :D

They need to edit it pronto to take out Santorum. His supporters won't like him being attacked now that he's out.

Yes let's take Santorum out, then show an image of social security and medicaire falling off of a cliff and Ron Paul's campaign lasso's them to safety.

Good ad, I hope they come out with another soon (in light of santorum dropping) which focuses on how Paul trump mitt in gun control, taxes, fiscal policy, security, personal independence. Pauls got it all, now to show that Mitt Doesn't. We've got to bring him down in Texas

Wait, wait wait.

If Santorum drops out that means they'll be NO Texas debate.

Texas needs to give Romney the business for giving our state's GOP invitation the shaft.

The only time I heard a Ron Paul ad mention anything about social security/medicare, and to some extent foreign policy, is that RevPAC ad with "Tea for Two".

I don't understand why the officla campaign ad doesnt address those issues more.

I think our job on the ground in Texas now is to put out comparison flyers that contrast Ron Paul and Mitt Romney, especially on the NDAA and Guns:

http://gunowners.org/ronpaul-2012.htm Ron: The 2nd Amendment Champion

vs Mitt Romney http://gunowners.org/2012presidential.htm

Rep. Ron Paul: A Second Amendment Champion

If people can't have their guns then they're not free!

Yes, take Santorum out & may be contrast Ron with Romney on the issue of gun-rights

And why do I not see any effort to counter "electability" issue? The ONLY reason Romney has been "frontrunner" because "he can beat Obama" belief, we MUST present Ron as ANTI-OBAMA!

Another thread had videos and articles connecting Romney to some sleazy "vulture capitalist" maybe play up the donation angle?

His personal decisions regarding businesses are irrelevant, that would be anti-business & anti-market stance, he did what businesses SHOULD do, even Ron understands that that's why he does NOT dance around that topic

So far as him getting donations from Goldman Sachs & such, that's always good to bring it up & show the voters that big banks & corporations own Romney!

As requested, a new comparison fact sheet with just Romney and Paul on it. Hopefully former Santorum and Gingrich supporters will read this and make the only logical conclusion about who to support.
