Radio, even in the age of the Internet, remains a highly effective way to reach people. But to be effective, radio ads must be played numerous times each day, for many days in a row -- and that takes a lot of money.

The Ron Paul 2008 campaign now has four 60-second radio ads. These ads were specifically created to introduce Dr. Paul to millions of Americans who know little about him. We know Dr. Paul well. But most Americans do not.

Our latest radio ad explains why Ron Paul is unique. The feedback from this ad is very positive. But for the ad to be effective, it has to be broadcast over and over again.

Dr. Paul is moving up in the polls. That's due in part to the four radio ads we've been airing in New Hampshire, Iowa, South Carolina and Nevada.

But to maintain the momentum, we need to keep our ads playing several times a day, every day, for the next two months.

Listen to our latest ad. And then donate today so we can buy more air time.

The ads are working. Keep the momentum going.

Yup that sounds about right.

The announcer sounds like he's on downers.

That's good, I like it! Off the top of my head, the thing I remember is "take this country back"

I think that is a pretty powerful ad and is quite well done. In many ways, I think it is the best one they have done yet.

Yeah, and "don't believe the cynical lie that we can't beat big money interests"... or something to that effect. I think it conveys the sense of change and revolutionary ideas without actually mentioning them.

Cool ad. I don't think it's meant to be exciting. I would have no problem listening to it while I listen to radio (and I often do in the morning and night), and that would raise at least my awareness of Ron Paul. They should include a number for those folks who don't have Internet.

The ad is alright but I would prefer a different voice. I just don't like the way that guy sounds.

At least he didn't say anything about changing positions like his husband changes his shirt :)

But seriously, these ads are only playing "several" times per day? Why not once or even twice per hour?

Edit:

Yeah, and "don't believe the cynical lie that we can't beat big money interests"... or something to that effect.
This is exactly what I was talking about in another post I made -- statements like this take away the listener's opportunity to be skeptical.

I've been hearing this ad everyday for the past few weeks.

They even have a fifth (actually sixth) with a man and woman talking back and forth.

You'll just have to come to NH to hear it, or you can always go to libertyconspiracy.com (http://www.libertyconspiracy.com/) and listen to Gardner's show and wait for the commercials to come around.
