I've been toying around with the idea of trying to reach out to Catholic voters as they have a lot of ideological similarities with Ron Paul on Abortion, the Iraq War, and a few other wedge issues. I was thinking that I could tie a Constitutional theme into a video to try and win over some Catholic Democrats and Giuliani Supporters who don't know about Ron Paul. I think I'll centralize the theme around the Carroll family, namely Charles Carroll of Carrolton (the only Catholic signer of the Declaration of Independence), John Carroll ( who went along with his cousin Charles, Ben Franklin, and Samuel Chase to try and get support from the Quebecers ), and Daniel Carroll who along with Pennsylvania Catholic Delegate Thomas Fitzsimons was a signer of the Constitution.

Our founding fathers are mostly seen as Protestant, but there was a strong Catholic presence in both Pennsylvania and Maryland during the Revolution and the Constitutional Convention. I think that awakening a sense of native patriotism in the Catholic voting block might carry the day in these two key states, as well as others with significant Catholic populations.

Feel free to give me your thoughts on this, and on potentially doing a more generalized pro-Ron Paul video with a similar Catholic theme.

P.S. - Here is a sample of some other videos I've done in the past supporting Ron Paul on youtube, some of them are satirical and some contain a few curse words, so beware.
