I always try to strike up a conversation with someone in line. Today I spoke to a gentleman about the lines getting longer everyday. He said that he is the type to write to the government and complain and has done so. I told him big government is at fault for the inefficiencies and that's why you need to vote for my guy:

Him: Really, who's that?

Me: Ron Paul

Him: I haven't heard of him.

Me: small run down on Ron Paul and then hand him a Ron Paul business card.

Him: He looks at the pic....Oh! He's the guy that challenged Bernenke! He's very intelligent!

Me: He's running for President. Look him up you'll be impressed.

Moral of the story....talk to everyone you can! I'm shy, but I do it as much as I can. I find it amazing that this guy knew him from the Bernenke interaction, but not otherwise. Anyhow, it made my day to educate him a bit. :)

My business is selling on ebay and Amazon.com so I find myself standing in line at the post office 5 days a week. It's the best place to talk to people. Whenever somebody starts to complain about the wait I tell them to imagine what things will be like if the federal government takes over health care. I can fit Ron Paul into any conversation :D

When you're talking with the appt. clerk in a specialist's office, trying to figure out if you need a referral from the primary care physician (didn't they used to be called family doctors), you can say, "I can only hope that Ron Paul gets elected so that we don't have to go through this again."

I tried that today, and she laughed, so I repeated it, a little louder the second time. She said, "ain't that the truth." Obviously, you can't do this with the referral clerk in the primary care physician's office, because it means that her job will gone.
