How can you have an issue with the "other drugs"?

Or even with any adult making the choice to consume marijuana?

From my view point the issue is personal liberty, the ability of the individual to make choices and either reap the benefits or suffer the consequences of those choices.

The "government" in a free society should not have the authority to regulate what a person chooses to ingest, heck at one point our government even knew that!

Interstate commerce was the guise initially used to attempt drug regulation. Now after 50 years of "trial by media" more and more oppressive legislation is being passed every week!

The statement you made isolating "dying men" makes it seem to me as if you buy into the propaganda that it's okay for the government to regulate what the citizens choose to consume so long as the citizens are healthy...

In my opinion the governments role should be limited to assuring that educators are free to teach the students both the pros and cons of what they choose to ingest, this "just say no" policy isn't education it is pure propaganda and has no place in intelligent discourse.
