Here is my new article comparing "The Hunger Games" to the Obama Administration and a totalitarian society.

Excellent. There have been a number of insightful articles about this film coming out lately. I'm glad, too, otherwise I probably wouldn't have seen the film, mistaking it for more teenage crap ala Twilight. Instead, I find a powerful anti war film, overflowing with satire that effectively mocks our entertainment culture and shows it for what it is: deprived minds living off the drama they see on TV. And by that, I mean the drama of actual people, not fictional characters whom we're supposed to be able to live vicariously through for a certain length of time.

I also found that they hammered the psychology of how the Hunger Games work to keep people in control. I found a "trailer" of sorts that hammers it home.

Again, pretending that this is all Obama's doing makes it repulsive to me. For the self-professed "party of responsibility" Republicans never buck up and admit they started this crap.
