I just got an idea.. Both Obama and Edwards got to do Q/A session with young voters and MTV... what if we write to the execs at MTV and ask them to do one with Paul?

what do you think? Paul has the most friends on myspace, and the most watched youtube videos.. this could be a great plug for Paul and get more young people involved..

Should we all write to MTV and Paul HQ, about making this arrangement?

as much as i hate MTV, it would be a very good thing for the campaign.

I thought they were going to do this with all, or nearly all, the candidates anyway?

Wasn't MTV supposed to be teaming up with youtube to do candidate interviews or something?

I'm pretty sure they are. He's the most popular candidate, perhaps next to Obama, on YouTube. It would be dumb if they didn't.

Ah, I thought it was a MTV/Youtube collaboration. It's actually a MTV/Myspace collaboration. I can't find much news about who exactly they're going to interview and when. I still think they'll interview Ron Paul either way.

MTV appearances are trivial. .001% of the people that watch MTV vote. Most of them are not old enough to vote, and those that are old enough are not smart enough to do so. Have you seen the crap that channel plays?

If we can pull the youth away from butt-cheek-shaking rap videos and decadent "reality" shows long enough to grasp the severity of the upcoming elections, it might be worth something.

Any publicity works.. I think Paul should be on, I haven't heard anything about them planning to have him on there though

Who cares if most of the folks watching MTV are too young to vote?

For starters, we don't really have enough information to say that's true.

But also, consider that some kids still talk to their parents. And it would be good for the "liberty movement" anyway.

I used to watch True Life which was actually interesting sometimes and somewhat for the educational minded. I know that I still had the channel, and I knew nothing of Ron Paul, I'd still watch every of those interviews to see about all the candidates.

No doubt a lot of stupid people watch the channel, but there is still an audience there that is reachable.

they don't vote, but they sure do now how to spread the word about something once it clicks
