Plane Flyover Donations Needed

A deal has been reached for an airplane flyover during the Iron Bowl. A 20' x 40' banner will be flown over Jordan-Hare Stadium and surrounding tailgating areas for 3 hours. The plane will be flown before gametime during tailgating hours up until darkness.

Total costs equal $2,575.

The donation total is about 90% complete at the moment. Seal the deal and reach several hundred thousand individuals.

I don't think you can read all that unless the banner is ginormous. I'd just have it only say RonPaul2008.com and ditch the graphic of RP. Can't really see that anyways when the banner is so high up there.

I've been promoting this event by telling a lot of folks about it and asking them to contribute to through Chipin and to tell others about it as well as putting the Chipin "thingy" on their blogs or websites.

Question: Since the game is scheduled to start after dark, I believe, how will people either at the game or watching on ESPN be able to see the banner?

I like this idea.

I think for plane banners it is much easier to read the words are all on the same line.

And don't bother with the graphics. I don't think they'll even be visible.

I think the text would be more visible with a white background and dark text.
The field of blue, at a distance, will blur into the text.

I would also suggest a bolder, simpler font. Akin to arial black. This sign needs to be visible at distance, not pretty up close.

What kind of airplane rents for $500/hr. I looked up the rental of a 235 hp Cessna 182 with pilot for $220/hr.
I'm just bringing this up that maybe you could of gotten a better price, this not against your efforts but just like to see the most bang for the buck. I really do like the idea of banner flying
