Even if Paul doesn't win the nomination...he's still helping (IMO) to shape national policy.

This is uplifting as was an earlier poll Israel/Iran poll that showed weren't as bloodthirsty as the media is making us out to be:

What's the percentage who oppose aggression against Iran?

Most Americans and Israelis do NOT support a war with Iran.

Only 19% of Israelis favor a unilateral strike by Israel.

Only 1 in 4 Americans favor an Israeli strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

When asked what to do if Iran retaliates against Israel after a strike, only 25% of Americans favored U.S. military assistance if Israel asks for it.

What's the percentage who oppose aggression against Iran? The second link I provided as all sorts of scenerio/polls regarding Iran/Israel.

I found this to be most encouraging:

If Israel goes ahead with a military strike against Iran's nuclear program and Iran retaliates, but not against American targets, only 25% favor the US providing military forces if Israel requests them (though support is a bit higher among Republicans at 41%). Another 14% favors the US providing diplomatic support only.

Too bad Ron doesn't have any more debates... :( He could really use these polls when badgered about the Middle East.

We know Santorum and Gingrich have been waffling on the Afghanistan issue with both entertaining the ideas of leaving earlier than expected (doubt they're geniune...but still...).

Obama is still resolutely pro-war as he is apparently sticking to his 2014 deadline no matter what...and Hillary has said we won't pull out unless womens rights are secured in the area (which means never).

Romney is probably the hardline pro-Afghan war republican candidate left...hopefully he flip-flop out of his hardline stance like he has on previous issues.

Romney didn't want the US to leave Iraq.

Romney is even more hardline pro-Iranian war. He hired the most extremist of the extreme war hawks from Bush's staff BACK in October of 2011. Just like Bush did before Bush started campaigning.Bush made most of his "advisers" part of his cabinet. Now Romney has them. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/07/mitt-romney-foreign-policy_n_999473.html

Since 2007, Romney has been calling for the indictment of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for "violating the genocide convention" (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,297083,00.html) and he called for the indictment again in Iowa debate 2011. ALTHOUGH, seems to me, it would be unprecedented to indict a foreign leader for a genocide that hasn't even happened.

In my opinion.

I just talked to my doctor today. He is Iranian. His parents live in Iran.

They do NOT want war with the United States. He says he and his family pray every night that the nightmare going on now ends. He also told me that Iranians do NOT hate Jews. He said that Iran has the 2nd LARGEST population of Jews of any country in Asia and that IF Iranians hated Jews they WOULDN'T be there.

I checked out what my doctor said and he is right.

Israel and its disputed territories have the largest number of Jews in Asia. Iran is the country with the 2nd largest number of Jews in asia. http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Judaism/jewpop.html Notice how many Jews are listed as living in Iraq OR Afghanistan even though the United States OCCUPIED those countries for almost a decade?

According to the links rpwi posted, Americans and most Israelis DON'T want war. The Iranian I talked to today doesn't. Neither does his family living in Iran. And if Iranians want to WIPE Jews off of the map so desperately, as Romney says, why are so MANY Jews living in Iran? Instead of in all the countries the United States has occupied (Afghanistan, Iraq)...or any of our great allies like Saudi Arabia?

In my opinion we have been jumping into war with and punishing every country for 9/11 EXCEPT the one with the most DIRECT links to 9/11 (the Saudis). How many times are the American people going to fall for the fear-mongering designed to benefit some lobby?

In my opinion.

Keep in mind that concentrated propaganda and/or a false flag can change those number quick. The people we're dealing with don't take no for an answer.

This country needs another war about as bad as this forum needs another Trayvon Martin thread.
