I have the first weeks money in paypal. Now I need a banner (468x60)
Here is the message I want on it.
Don't just witness history - be a part of it.
teaparty07.com
Any background that is appropriate is fine.
Can someone do this?

many on OT use adblock - would it be better to buy a sticked thread?

Creative license. :p
I prefer "Don't just witness history - be part of it!". I think it has more of a call to action urgency to it ...but here's the banner with an "a" for your viewing pleasure. ;)

Personally, I don't really see the point of advertising on OT.
Most users on there already like Paul. Also, most people on OT surf with the ads blocked anyway.
That $200 or so spent on advertising on OT could be much better utilized elsewhere, imo.

The goal isn't to win supporters. The goal is to get people to donate on the 16th. For 200 dollars, we only need TWO people to break even. Everything after that is gravy. Now, are you going to tell me that we can run an ad for an entire month on one of the busiest forums on the planet - advertising to thousands and thousands of people (using a text advertisement which will be seen by everyone) and not expect to get more in donations than what was spent?

You probably didn't see the point in the Nov 5 money bomb either, huh?

I just don't think the ad will be that effective.
Again, most people on OT that like Paul will know about the 16th. Numerous posts and threads have already been created about it.
I'm not saying it's a horrible idea or anything.
I'm just saying, I feel that $200 could be more effective elsewhere.

WTF?
I was promoting that as soon as we came up with it. I wasn't promoting it, though, by wasting money on an advert that most people won't see and those that do see it, will have already heard about the money bomb.

It's the negativity man. It kills me. How can you not see the benefit here? If *only* three people are enticed to sign up then we have already gained. I expect the return to be much better than that, however.

I understand your point.
And my point is that your point is flawed. Your banner, while well intentioned, will not convince anyone on OT to give money on the 16th. Those users that will, have already decided to. The users that haven't made up their mind yet, will be convinced by the users on the site, not by an advert.
like, where?
All sorts of good places here (http://ronpaulgraphs.com/chipin.html).
But hey, it's your money, do whatever you want with it. I was simply stating my opinion.

I think spending the money going towards an ad on Drudge Report would be much more effective than OT.
But again, it's your money. Feel free to spend it how you please.

WAY more expensive but well worthwhile. You should be pushing that more.

Also, I believe either you or someone else has talked to fazle to get a Paid Sticky for the donation drive. IMO, that is a better use of money for OT than the banner.

Seeing the success of the last "money bomb" on OT; I've started to plan a Dec 16 Tea Party sticky thread.
I'll post a thread in DIAC when I get an "ok" from Fazle.
