Guys PLEASE start posting comments on Youtube and bumping up comments about the March 23rd moneybomb. That's how we got it done for the $6 million. (And of course, Facebook and your local meetup groups).

btw--I hate learning about this moneybomb so late in the game

People really DO need to spread the word better. I know it is only an hour old, but don't these money bombs usually start off with a huge surge right at midnight? I have only been paying attention to the last couple and even though they didn't do all that great compared to the pre-primary ones, they still seemed to "start" at $50,000 because so much came in right at the start. I know with half the states done, that it probably won't be as big of earlier ones, but I think people can do better than this. I guess there is hope that people are waiting until the daytime for more publicity?

If you haven't maxed out yet, do it NOW!
After this, I've got about $365.00 left to go before I max out.
I'd do it now if I could afford it. But I have an idea ...

For the next moneybomb, I'll try to make sure I have enough to max out.
Then I'll challenge RPFs to "make" me max out - by matching up to the $365 or so I'll have left to go.

(After that, it'll be Glen Bradley, Karen K. & RevPAC for me on moneybomb days.)

But donations will likely drop WAY down Saturday and Sunday. They always do when a moneybomb gets extended past the first day. Most peopler simply won't know about it still going on, especialy on a weekend as less people spend their days onlne. And the ones likely to donate at all already did so today. I am pretty sure the 2/14 money bomb got less in the 5 "extra" days than it did in the first day. $1 million by Monday is more realistic.

I just hope he ISN'T hoarding it for NY and CA. Especially NY. It would really be wasted money in NY. I am not saying ignore it altogether but spending more money that average on NY would yield a bad return on investment.

I think it is safe to assume that any moneybomb from now on will be exnteded through the weekend, no matter what day it started oon.

However, it was a miscalculation on the camapign's part to point out that it was being extended so early. Right after the e-mail was sent telling people it was exended, the dnation rate dropped quite a bit. There was no longer a sense of urgency. And unfortunately, some people that may have donated in the last coupe hours on Friday might forget to do so over the weekend.

The time for symbolic meanings of moneybombs is long over. I would hope the campaign knows this. At this point, it is all about getting money that is desperately needed. And come Sunday night, it will likely have brought in somewhere between $900,000 and $1 million much needed money.

Setting unrealistic expectations like $2 million in one day just leads to disappointment. With half the states done, there is no way the donations will pour in like they did in November-January. The casual donations are going to stay away, and many of the die hards have maxxed their donations already. $600,000 is definitely not a disappointment unless they expected too much. (certainly better than that recent joke of a RevPac moneybomb that hoped for $1 million in 12 hours and ended up with about $20,000)
