But Romney said on Saturday that Energy Secretary Steven Chu, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar, and Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lisa Jackson were intended to help implement then-candidate Obama's strategy to make "energy prices go up a lot."
But now that "the president has endured what we might call an election-year conversion" and wants to lower energy costs, Romney continued at a town hall meeting here, "I think it's time for him to fire his gas-hike trio."
REPUBLICANS, you had better hear this loud and clear! You are about to lose the election with this sort of language! The problem with gas prices is not the lack of supply! Demand is down since its highs before the recession. The problem is the spending!
The Fed has reduced the purchasing power of the dollar and we are just seeing it at the pumps first. Sure, the EPA, Interior, and DOE are not helping, but if you want to understand why the gas prices are going up, you need to understand that they're not really going up that much! The price of the dollar is going down!
This always seems to happen between the blue and the red. They argue silly little issues and miss the root cause of the problem. Only one candidate is addressing the real issues.
