I saw this yesterday and was gonna meme it, but couldn't from my tablet. Something along the lines of "Don't worry boss. I'll make sure there's no cameras."

The dude is short!

Ever noticed how 'meme' and 'maim' are pretty similar words? wonder if the vowels were just garbled when it was scanned in to be translated for online use ;) :p

If history a la Sue Lowden is any indicator, he's probably going to be officially sanctioned by the GOP for this.

Of course, it will take about a year for them to work through all that. And after that - will he be shunned in disgrace?

No, of course not! He'll be the establishment's candidate of choice in the next Missouri Senate race.

I'll be honest not a big fan of posting the man's facebook page.

He's not a public figure and that is not a public figure page. That's his personal page with 1,600 friends (I assume real life friends). He also has an album of pics titled "kids" with his three children on there.

Not a fan of putting that in the public eye.

He had a different Facebook page that he deleted yesterday. It linked off of his campaign website.

Linking to his public facebook is OK. They are two very different things.

This is a page where he has his real friends. It links to his wife's facebook and there are albums titled "kids", "Christmas at Disney world" etc...

I don't want to make a big deal about it because there are bigger issues being discussed here. Delete the link and then keep the rest up. Nothing good comes from linking to his personal life.

I think holding party office qualifies as being a Public Figure, is there some other definition that I'm unaware of?
if that doesn't do it how about running for state office --> edokes.com
I think that being actively involved in pursuing a political career makes one a public figure (how can you be a public servant without being a public figure?)

Honestly Dokes put himself in the public eye as soon as he decided to violate the rules during a Presidential nomination to try and stack the deck for his guy and then called the police when it wasn't working out. (To say nothing of the high implications of premeditation that exist)

Additional: the man is able to alter his personal page settings to prevent any comments from people not on his friends list as well as removing himself from the public search results, if he refuses to do these things because he wants his page to be a platform for his public aspirations/networking to benefit him in those goals then that means it's open by his own choice. When he alters his settings it won't be open. It's 100% on him to choose how he handles it, just like his corrupt actions during the caucus are 100% on him.

BlackTerrel has a point. I'd hate for the man's kids to have to see what a corrupt father they have (ouch?). We could be the 'better person' to leave that off of his personal facebook page.

Regardless, any future this man had in politics is now over. If the vast majority of the people in his district are Paul or Romney supporters, he just blew any chance he had of ever holding office there. Maybe he could move to Alaska or something and try the old "well, nobody here knows who I am" thing, but, you know, youtube is a glorious thing, and viral videos can make or break you.

Call me a purist but if I was the kid in that situation I'd want to know. If someone near to me is corrupt and dishonest that's something I would very much hope others would point out to me. I guess I could be alone in that /shrug but it's certainly how I stand on the subject.

Hey, is there a hall of shame thread? We have our lists of liberty candidates why compile the other for new voters to access (am I overlooking something saying that's a bad call)?

if romney supporters didnt get screwed as well, i dont think this would have gone to national news if it was just Ron Paul supporters getting screwed. I guess sometimes... we might have to "work" together with an enemy to get some media coverage.
