Uggg, I keep waiting for that one thing that's gonna put me over the top; put me in my car heading towards Mexico/Canada haha...Am I reading this wrong or is this pretty scary?

ATK has secured a major Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity deal to supply up to 450 million rounds of .40 caliber ammunition to the Department of Homeland Security.

The 1 year contract with four option years comes at a time when many Americans believe that DHS, along with certain aspects of the military, will soon turn their sights on the American people during some sort of martial law scenario.

“We are proud to extend our track record as the prime supplier of .40 caliber duty ammunition for DHS, ICE,” said Ron Johnson, the president of ATK’s Security and Sporting group,” reported a PR Newswire release.

The Department of Homeland Security has been extremely busy in the last few months.

Whether it be mastering their surveillance of social media, planning to build level 4 bio weapons labs in the middle of the country, defending Globalism, lying to Congress about their big brother policies, labeling people who believe in conspiracy theories as potential terrorists, or taking over cyber security, DHS seems to be actively working against the American people on every front.

The funding for this should have been apportioned to the states for training by civil militias.

Better yet just never collect the taxes in the first place and if people want to use their own money to buy guns and ammo then let 'em.

Given how well they tend to shoot, they could kill almost a million people with that ammo.

Department of Homeland Security orders up to 450 million rounds of .40 caliber ammunition

So, about 1.5 rounds per capita? Must be counting on some of us not standing still.

Hey wait, according to some agencies' definition of terrorism, does not ordering that much ammunition make the DHS terrorists?

All they have to do is "mandate" that the bullet hits you. Problem solved.

Hey, who the hell are the bunch of retards who decided this is what our tax money should go to!?

AND YES, I call them retards, because this has practically no use! What does the DHS need so much ammo for!? This is a WASTE!

It usually takes them 20 rounds to kill American citizens, so there's not much to worry about. :)

That is one third as much small arms ammunition as the Army usually buys in a year. Which tells you how much DHS is buying or how little the Army buys.

What we need to find out are the purchase trends of .40 ammo in years past. Is the 450 million rounds a HUGE spike?

I'd be more concerned with a huge spike in 5.56mm or 7.62mm ammo since the Feds wont be using handguns when rounding us up......

The thing I gleaned from this is that ATK is the parent company of Federal Ammunition... And they are the purveyors of the HST bullet. That's kind of a nasty little round...

Just another step the government has taken because they know the economic collapse is near. NDAA, FEMA camps, and on and on. Oh dear god, 90% of Americans aren't going to know what hit them.

This is an alert from an inside European banker. And something I have posted a thread on - a Greece default causing Europe to collapse then we do. Pay attention to March 20th as that is the first date Greek bonds come due. We all know they don't have the freaking money.

Mach 12, 2012

Steve,

I am someone who has worked for one of the largest investment banks in the world RBS and I can tell you that the contagion of debt has run its course. We are already prepped for a Greek default this month especially since the recent downgrade by Fitch.

I can tell you is this, watch the Eurozone carefully, even though Greece is the star, the UK and it's Financial power center "The City" is in a whole heap of trouble that is much worse than Greece or any of the PIIGS; France included. If Greece goes down this month, Legarde and Co are working laboriously but an uncooperative Greek public and a Situation beyond repair is not making it easy for the WB, IMF robber barons. When the default happens you have about two maybe three weeks to get out of the dollar. After that it will be impossible.

Regards,

V.

It is; however, Federal has been having some QA problems over the recent years. I use Speer Gold Dots for SD, Lawman practice ammo for my .45, and Double Tap for the 10mm.

There does seem to be a problem getting the spam cans of 7.62mm (640 rnd cans) as of late. Check cheaperthandirt or others, out of stock...

My best guess is that they are gonna certify TSA as official law-dogs with arresting powers and firearm certification. And also increase their numbers.

Edit: As an aside I thought that most federal agencies used 9mm? Is there a deal in the works for a .40?

Federal Flight Deck Officers (Pilots) and Federal Air Marshals (both part of DHS) use that type of ammo...so I have heard.

Who uses .357 Sig? Thought that was the air marshals, but it may be the SS.

Heh, I knew I would be corrected the minute I hit post but let it ride. ;)

Hey, now you reminded me that I actually do support UMAL.

Universal Mandatory Armament Laws.

In WilliamC's imaginary world guns would be treated like cars in that everyone would be expected to know how to use one and to keep one with them in good firing condition at all times while in public.

The DHS would be in charge of making sure you knew how to handle your firearm and you could get government assistance to help pay for one and for ammo if you were needy.

Of course if you were pulled over without your weapon or with your weapon in poor or non-working condition you could be subject to a ticket or have to do some remedial firing range instruction.

Universal Mandatory Armament, not just a good idea, it's the LAW!

heh.

the total rounds is ONLY what the gov. orders from that company (and this involves other departments not solely homeland security)...

the OP is "dis-info" because it makes it sound as if the total amount is going completely to Homeland security which is FALSE.

Well good luck with things there. Here in Britain you can only own a shotgun and that can't be a repeater (last time I checked).I bought a crossbow too.If the wheels really do fall off there, perhaps it might be a better alternative than this?:
