I thought really hard about this, and I truly cannot think of one good thing he has done.

Agreed. He has been by far the worst President in history which is saying a lot.

The one good thing I guess so far is he hasn't started a war officially with Iran yet.... He could of started a lot more wars, I guess that is where his nobel peace prize comes in.

It's pretty bad when the only thing you can list positively about a person is that they haven't killed more abundantly.

Good: He has caused a lot of people to listen to what we have to say when they previously ignored us or would have otherwise ignored us. So this is a great thing even thought it was unintentional on his part.

Bad: Everything else

On the three things that are important to me, wars, empire and intervention; fiscal and monetary policy; and the police state, he is neither good nor bad.

That is to say, these things have carried on regardless and it would have made no difference in 2008 if it had been John McPain.

The wars would still be ongoing, the banksters would still be firmly in charge of the nation's monetary system and banking establishment and the police state encroachments, now at full gallop, would have continued, unabated.

Bad, sure, and so was the puppet behind him, and so will be the puppet to follow.

You do your best work that way.

Brevity is the soul of wit.

I would have repped you but was out of ammo.

Good

He saved the American Auto Industry. I am a Automotive Engineer and have worked in Dearborn before. So I am some what biased. But I know that if Chrysler and GM went under it would have effected all car companies because they all share the same supply chain.

Good
Ended the Iraq war. Bad put in private contractor fighters after troops left.

Bad
Did not end Afghanistan war soon enough. Bad because he re-ramped up the war instead of just leaving.

Good
Got rid of Bin Laden.

Good
Libya air support. He should have ask for congress permission. But I think it was a well done plan to use just air support. Much better than invading the country with tanks and troops.

Good
Extended Unemployment emergency extentions. I am currently unemployed and this helped me personally.

Bad
Credit card reform bill. All my interest rates got jacked up more than normal. The reforms probably was good but they gave the credit card companies too much time before it went in to effect to change rates and switch people to variable rates.

I have mixed thoughts on this Good/Bad
Obamacare. I don't like that there is a mandatory requirement. I think it is unconstitutional. But I can see that in order for the plan to work they probably needed to make it mandatory so everyone could be covered. I think the main concern is the cost and quality of the healthcare once this goes into effect. How will it effect jobs and taxes. These are all things that have left too many with questions. I am concerned that the republicans are correct in that it is affecting employers who want to hire but are scared of the potential costs of obamacare. I like the fact people can get the plan with pre-existing conditions. I think everyone should have good healthcare. But the question is can we afford it. Personally I think a single payer plan would have been better than this plan as many Democrats think too. My gut feeling is Obamacare will be too expensive. The question will be if they can make it affordable. If not I see a revolt coming.

I consider myself a independent voter. I like to think about what will help us middle and lower class people get a chance to live a good life. I consider both socialist ideas and libertarian. We all need a fair shake to make it in this world. Currently the system seems to be broken. Who will fix it. I am concerned about the national debt and solvency of the dollar too.

So far Obama has at least gave me unemployment benefits to help find a new job in this crappy economy. At least the economy seems to be picking up and I hope to find a job soon.

Bad
Bailout of large banks. Bailout of Goldman Sacks. Wallstreet bailout was bad. Bad Bear Stearns bailout. I just think these companies should have had to deal with their mistakes not the tax payers. There will always be other banks to take their place. I think we need better regulations on Wallstreet. We can't let the things that happened to cause the last bubble happen again.

Bad
Spending too much. I just feel that spending in general is way out of control. Ron Paul is the only one willing to get things under control.

Overall I trust Obama more that Santorum, Gingrich. Romney I consider to be way less extreme than Santorum so at least he is not that bad. G.W. Bush scared me less than Santorum so that says something. Ha.... Ron Paul has logical reasons for his positions backed up by the constitution.

Ron is antiwar so I can support that. I believe our country is in dire need to recovery from this horrible depression. Starting more wars is not going to solve anything. It will make things worse. We don't need a war with Iran. We need to save the dollar and our economy. We need to put people back to work.

My choices would be Ron Paul, Obama,or Romney for president. We know Obama and Romney would be spenders and for big government. They just spend differently. Ron is the only one to want smaller government and give back the power to the people. If it comes down to Romeny and Obama I will have to decide which will be more favorable to my economics. I will probably vote Obama because he has at least done some things I can agree on.

I have a short list (still thinking on it):

bad:

Bailouts and turbo tim (with nobody going to jail but madoff??)
Dirty banker deal (giving them amnesty for crimes in exchange for pittance in payment)
keeping prisons open overseas and in quantamino
executive assasination
approving law for detention of citizens without due process
keeping bernanke (though I did't ever see who the federal reserve had slotted for other potential picks)
czars!!
healthcare boondoggle (but silver lining is this should definitely help collapse the central gov. with the huge costs and sheer number of bureaucrats this will take)
his war on whistleblowers

good: he may have accelerated the crash of central government when it does not appear that the people will rise up to crush it.
