Before you watch I just wanted to let you know that Mary is one of the hardest working organizers at our Ron Paul Los Angeles Headquarters. She is there even more than myself and for those that know how much I post about/market our HQ and how often I'm there...you'll get it.

I just put a new link up to her own channel so help pump some views & likes!

Enjoy!

If you like the BIGGEST CAUCUS shirt, buy it now for only $15 at our fundraising site www.PEACEPACk.org

Personal message from Mary:

Had a great time just now on RT America live. Sadly, we were talking about the atrocities of war. Very unfortunate and unnecessary.
Wish I had the chance to talk about Ron Paul's big caucus win in the Virgins which Romney was inaccurately declared the winner of. Or should I say NV instead Ron won the majority of delegates there? What's the basis for winning again:) Delegates!
Despite the media narrative Ron is the popular choice among delegates. Y'all like my t-shirt? :)

Mary back on RT today: Now with a NEW SHIRT. CHECK IT OUT ;)

I did :)

Excellent interview, Mary.

Wow, we should get her onto Fox News.

Having said that, on Fox, she'd be interrupted every 3 seconds for the presenter to give their 80 second question / opinion.

I saw an interview with her from earlier in the cycle and she presented herself well there also.
I'm glad RT is covering this, a larger viewer base would be stellar but having tubes of these is quite useful as well :)

Everyone give this guy some +rep for being there with a handful of grassroots supporters to make an impact on todays results.

PS ~ Thank Mary for providing such an articulate voice to the movement, every chance we get to clearly describe Pauls positions is important and she does a good job in doing so.

We GOTV'd til 11:00pm PST...8PM (Hawaiian) when their polls closed.

I don't need the +rep, I much rather everyone get out and coordinating on a local level :D

What about her did you have trouble taking seriously? I thought she was very well spoken, you know articulate with a good grasp of the issues. I guess she was a bit long winded at times but it's a lot to cover and I didn't think it really went over poorly.

This girl is incredibly well-spoken. More than that, she understands messaging and marketing. Everything from the eloquence of her words to the choice of wardrobe supported her message in a positive way that would reach out to and persuade new supporters. Additionally, before the interview, she clearly thought through all the points she wanted to make then actually made them while on the air. Great job!

Ron Paul's campaign would do well to make her their press secretary. :)

A wonderful and photogenic young woman that can articulate clearly and passionately for Dr. Paul.
As my Dad used to say. "She can talk a hungry dog off a meat wagon."
Inspiring! Hope to see her again soon.

Wahoo ! What a nice supporter ! She's so nice looking but she also knows how to talk ! As some have already said in this thread, she's gotta handle a podcast, the potential of this girl is just huge !

I don't think I've ever heard a woman use the cliché phrase "you know" so often. Listen to the clip again and count how many times she says it. Well spoken? Maybe - if she could get rid of that silly habit of constantly interjecting "you know".

This may sound lame, but it's so true. If we can find more good looking , intelegent womeone who KNOW what they are talking about , MORE older men will listen.

For those complaining about the interviewer interrupting: Mary spoke in three chunks. The first was 3.5 minutes long, the 2nd lasted 80 seconds, and the last one was 50 seconds. Total clip time 527 seconds; not counting intro (60 seconds) and outro (14 seconds) = 453 seconds, of which 5:40 were Mary speaking and 1:53 were the interviewer.

Mary said "you know" 36 times in 5 minutes and 40 seconds. I didn't count the instances of "um" and "ahh" but they were almost as frequent as "you know".

Yes, she made good points, but I hardly think this kind of performance warrants a recommendation for someone to have their own television or radio show. Especially when the person has such a warbling voice.

I have a question for someone from the LA meetup. Is this the same Mary that was at the grand opening of the LA HQ? She is pretty tall and was wearing a baseball cap. If so I met her and gave her one of my T-shirts.

I thought her performance was impressive. To speak for 3.5 minutes without a script or autocue is something very few people would be able to do. I would have had a lot more "ums" and "ahs" and "you knows"! And she is clearly very smart. Her content was good and she answered well.

But you do have a point. To give a 3.5 minute answer to a question in an interview is somewhat unusual. It wasn't exactly spellbinding oratory (she hardly paused for breath), nor was it short and snappy soundbites. Some people might have found their attention wandering. However, her second and third chunks were better - probably because she was more relaxed.

being on live television with no script to read from and a ton of lighting pointed directly at you isn't exactly easy if it isn't what you do on a consistent basis.

we're all proud of our Mary. :)

I guess my focus was elsewhere.

With regards to that it may be a bit gimmicky but it's memorable and we need more of that. I know several people who I talked to early cycle about Paul that were interested but not involved (they don't usually vote and I'm trying to get them in) checking in with them lately the response was "oh, he's still running? I thought he was gone, I'm glad he isn't, that's good."
We need every tool in the bag to break the blackout gimmick or not, and you can bet that a woman like that wearing that shirt on the street gets remembered which means Paul does too, it's a savvy method of marketing (even if my attention was more focused on her interview than her wardrobe)

Same here. Scottish politics is pretty depressing. It's much more interesting to follow Ron Paul's campaign.

By the way, I love France. Scotland's weather is about as depressing as its politics, so I'm looking forward to getting over to France to get some French sun!
