The last time he was on the Leno show, as much as I hate Leno because of the Conan fiasco, I believe he gave Paul a three part interview, which is something he rarely does. He actually admitted to him getting no media respect.

He is known for his impressions of Charles Barkley, NFL color commentator John Madden, sportscaster Jim Rome, comedian Robin Williams, actor William Shatner, and United States Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, and for his frequent appearances on The Bob & Tom Show. He has released six solo CDs, and has performed as many as 120 impressions. From 2009 to 2011 he had a show at the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip.

He was also invited to entertain at the White House Correspondents Dinner in 2007.

In addition he has been a frequent guest of the Fox News Channel show Huckabee.

Hope this is good and he doesn't come on and trash Ron because he likes Huckabee.

Leno has been amazing to Ron Paul. The last appearance Ron was featured almost the ENTIRE show.

And remember back in 2008 when the GOP refused to let Ron into the debate, and Leno put him on his show at least in part as a "counter" to being excluded from the debate.

this would be a big bump, just like last time.
it would clear some media BS i hope.
he should mention how the media chooses to report popular votes, when he wins delegates, and they report delegates when we win the popular vote !!
he should mention how other GOP candidates cannot win the general election against Obama without independents and youth voters.

NBC: Ticketing is based on a lottery system. If your email is chosen you will receive an email confirmation and phone call from us confirming your tickets. You may be contacted at any time, from within a day of submitting your request to the day before the show, depending on when and if openings occur.
Tickets are non-transferable. Ticket holders must provide government-issued picture I.D. matching the name on the emailed reservation to gain admittance. All guests must be over the age of 16 to attend with government-issued picture I.D.

Please be aware no reservation guarantees admission. We reserve the right to deny admission at any time (I HOPE THEY TAKE "OUR KIND" ;)).

A limited number of tickets and stand-by passes are available each tape day at the NBC Ticket Box in Burbank. You must come on the day you wish to attend. All tickets are complementary and distributed on a first come, first serve basis starting at 8:00am. Guests often line up early, you must use your own judgment as to the best arrival time. Tickets will be distributed two (2) per person and you must be at least 16 years old. The NBC Ticket Box is located at 3000 W. Alameda Ave., Burbank, CA 91523 on the California Street or west side of the studio facilities.

Thanks for your interest in The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (ACTUALLY, 100% OF THE INTEREST IS IN DR. RON PAUL! :D).

My fingers are crossed I will get a call. Here is the link (Courtesy of Irvine, CA Ron Paul Meet-Up): http://www.nbc.com/the-tonight-show/tickets/request-form/

Even though I know many don't want to give the media conglomerates anymore business than they have to at this point, I think it's important to show that we can make or break some ratings:

Cmon people, set your DVRs or tune in if you can, and don't just wait on tubes... We want to send a message that we support positive coverage of our candidate with our ratings.

Same goes for Ben Swann. Watch the segment on the new's station's site that he links to. We gotta make sure we take care of the few willing to embrace us in the media.

Leno only left the tonight show because he thought he could do better with his own show in prime-time. Leno sucked in prime-time and had very bad ratings for that time-slot so the network cancelled his show. Then Leno realized he wasn't ready to retire so he wanted to go back to the tonight show, the only problem was they signed a contract with Conan to do it. I don't blame Conan one bit for being mad at them and Leno for wanting to break the deal they made with him. Conan caters to a different audience than Leno does and despite not pulling in his ratings, he does have enough of an audience to have his own show now himself.

I don't want to distract too much from the overall thread because clearly this isn't the point but I actually read up on this.

What happened is when Conan was doing gangbusters at 12:30 some other networks started singing in his ear about a better time slot and NBC said "hey don't go. Stick around 5 more years and we'll give you Leno's spot".

They also told Leno "Hey we know you're #1 but we like Conan so we're going to give him your spot in 5 years". At the time Leno probably thought he would retire in five years so he agreed.

Suddenly it's time to pay the piper. Five years go by and Leno is still #1 and there is no reason to replace him. But they have the deal with Conan. They try to have both - So they move Jay to 10 and Conan to 11:30. Both shows fail and NBC which for ten years had the best late night on TV was in deep shit.

Long story short Conan refused to go back to his own slot and made himself out to be a martyr even though NBC paid him 50 million dollars to not work. When Leno went back he again got the ratings that Conan didn't.

Conan got fired because his ratings weren't good - not some evil plot to take down a 6'5 redheaded Irishman.

When you don't perform well for your employer - you lose your job. That's life. I was annoyed with the whole Conan thing because he made himself out to be some sort of victim and all the hipsters I know were feeling so sorry for him.

I've lost jobs before too. I never whined and I never got 50 million for sitting on my ass at home. That's life.

Long story short I don't watch much late night TV. But I do think Leno got mistreated in the media and in public perception. Plus he's had Ron on more than the other guys have so I like him.

That was great! Leno has Paul on to connect with young people, and Paul goes on Leno to connect with old people. 2 birds. one stone.

Leno only left the tonight show because he thought he could do better with his own show in prime-time. Leno sucked in prime-time and had very bad ratings for that time-slot so the network cancelled his show. .

That's not right. The network pushed Leno out of his chair and into prime time because they wanted to court a younger demographic and gave Conan the slot. Conan's ratings stunk, so Leno came back.

Remember the news reports that said when Ron was polling at the top in Iowa, "if he wins Iowa, they will lose the first in the nation status, or we will toss it out. Remember how it was reported that ROMNEY WON the Virgin Islands, and how the RON PAUL SUPPORTERS went crazy in St. Charles county. REMEMBER. DO NOT TRUST THE MEDIA. ever.

well maybe but I think the media debunked that story 10 yrs ago actually and it was going to hammer the organized propaganda no matter what was necessary to create the illusion of doubt against Ron ... I heard Ron several times hit back and on they went ... 2% Rick got the phony CNN polls and the CIA media machine did their virtual reality show ...

I don't think he meant he had an offer on the table. I think he meant that those would be his only choices if he had an offer. They won't offer him VP but they have to offer him something of a high position, either Fed or "czar". I thought his use of the word "czar" was telling since he wouldn't ever call himself that.

Last time, much as I liked who was on with him, Ron's face as they showed the clips of people drinking cockroach shakes or whatever was a show in itself

Im pretty sure RP hasn't ever seen anything like that before. He must have thought "well, it's their choice to put that into their bodies but damn we're screwed."
