edit breaking news for denver colorado wolverinessssssss, breaking news cd 1 district 4 10/10 ron paul slate going to state. We did the best in my denver district with 100% ron paul slate ! I will get update for other districts tomorrow just too dam tired right now. We did well in all districts;) there is a strong chance after april the media will have to eat their own crap and say who won colorado, guess who?:) We will know in april:)

for following Robert's Rules of Order. Sorry no video but i was that supporter. I did 2 things point of order and point of info and basically got threatened. Point of Info was to ask how they were going to feed 700 folks in 15 minutes, they finally buckled and made it 20-30 minutes and had several breaks. Then they had some rules they had passed out and then they amended the rules. So i made a point of info since not one of the 700 folks had a copy of the amendment to the rules. My point of info was to please read the amendment so folks knew what it was. you would of thought i was trying to nominate Obama as a republican candidate on the floor. I was told to shut up sit down and a few other kind words(note sarcasm) and let them do what they do,of course i did neither. I was following rules.

In the end the gop stopped trying to railroad things. I will have delegate info soon just waiting to post it once i have it on the site. I basically had to tell a few status quo,if your that upset with me following the rules. Then change them:) bastards!!!!!!!! In the end i didn't do a damn thing wrong, well maybe i did i was not going to rubberstamp status quo!! I think we did very well even with the gop establishment bullshit!!!

Ron Paul 2012 , i even stayed calm though i am pretty sure my face was red as hell!! I didn't get escorted out or arrested. The only folks making a fuss were neo-cons or gop est. In the end i followed all rules and that must of been what upset the gop establishment. I got alot of compliments from ron paul supporters and even a few santorum/newt/romney folks came up to apologize for what happened to me. I wear my heart on my shoulders so even with all the reinforcement it still made me think i did something wrong . When i did not!! We must be scaring the f out of them:) I will have updates later tonight. I need to go out and unwind. I was there at 5am to help set up signs and various things for our camp:) finally got out of there around 5pm and they are still counting votes. We did good though how good gotta wait and see:) Ron Paul 2012 Wolverines!!!!! There will be Peace When WE ARE DONE!!!!!! oo i forgot the most important part, this was after several hundred ron paul supporters said point of order!! After they ignored a valid point of order. I walked down the aisle. Turned the mic on and then said point of order. That is what got the attention and it was valid, so they were basically gonna try to railroad us all!!! very tired i am.

that video is pretty shameful of the gop who tried to ignore a valid point of order. We were all so schooled on robert rules of order no one had to start that it erupted all at once:) I was so proud of everyone. I never sat down some of the verbal abuse started as you saw me bend down. I never relented i can tell you that. They attempted to bully me at least 15 times thru out the day never once succeeding. My first thrust into roberts rule of order. To be honest the chair and those on the stage were clueless(probably not) to roberts rules seriously insanity.

That was seriously so good I can hardly stand it!!!!!

They didn't take well to that gentle boat rocking, no one is suppose to question them.

Way to go, thanks for showing how it is done.

Also drives home how important it is to know Roberts Rules of order in and out.

The most important thing the rest of us can do now is let everyone outside these forums know what is really happening. Let everyone know of these Ron Paul wins.

Well done. Thank you for representing CO.

http://blogs.denverpost.com/thespot/2012/03/10/denver-gop-assembly-descent-madness/63258/

Democrats and Republicans held a number of county assemblies today, but it looks like the real fun happened at the Denver County Republican Assembly, with Ron Paul supporters clashing with party officers.

Republican Kelly Maher videotaped the event and posted it on her personal YouTube account. She said Ron Paul delegates were trying to shout down Denver County GOP Chairman Danny Stroud, Treasurer Alex Hornaday and Secretary Brett Moore.

Here’s her version of events:

“The Ron Paul people showed up with an alternate set of rules and calendar for the day. (One woman) was standing at the mic and kept demanding to be recognized. She kept calling point of order and that was the first yelling. Once the rules were adopted the Ron Paul people demanded they be read aloud so Danny called up Brett to read them, which made everyone flip out again because he did it in his fast reader voice (he used to be the reader for the state House.)”

Ron Paul supporters, you’re welcome to e-mail me to tell me your side of what happened at the assembly: lbartels@denverpost.com.

Kenny, I think that is a reach out to you....

that video doesn't capture what happened to me. I hope someone got it.

I did capture about 15 minutes of video on my phone. I missed the part where the interim chair said "There is a committed group of people here whose goal it is to disrupt party business today, just like in 2008", but I started recording immediately afterwards. I also recorded most of the "auctioneer" reading of the rules. I'll post some of it later if someone would like. I'm not sure what the above video contains, haven't watched it yet.

I was actually an observer yesterday (from Boulder County), but I did volunteer to help run the Ron Paul booth (I was wearing a red shirt and needed a hair cut :) ). I had planned to get there earlier, but wife was sick and I had to drive from Boulder so I didn't get there until 7:30 or so after all of the tables had been setup.

It was nice to finally put a face to the name. I had met you before, but I didn't realized you were 'speciallyblend' here on RPF. Hopefully we can meet again at the state convention.

look forward to seeing the video. Still sinking in what we accomplished . We played by the rules. it was the gop status quo and the chair which caused the madness. It made it less stressful knowing we all had each others back in there:)

Very proud of the OP and those in Denver that held their ground...but what really caught my interest was how the supporters of other candidates now see what we are trying to do...I hope they join us in this fight against corruption as the establishment GOP are exposing themselves to those that NEED to see it.

If this is happening throughout the nation in caucus conventions, those that are voted up to be state delegates might be softened up enough for a perfect conversion at the RNC.

Anybody follow my logic here?

We took 9 out 10 delegates for state and 9 out of 10 delegates for CD1 in Denver county. From what I'm hearing, we pretty much cleaned up in most of the house districts. Also, the "Audit the Fed" resolution passed almost unanimously!

Good job!

I loved the resolution debate section when there were all of the "pro" time for debate was taken up and the moderator (?) asked if anyone would like to speak against auditing the Fed and the chairman said "Barney Frank!". And then someone actually gave a speech against it, which I think was unexpected.

Too bad the media and establishment are spinning this already. It's on top of theblaze as "Ron Paul supporters push GOP meeting into madness..." It's too be expected, though. I wonder how long until it's on CNN or Fox. Of course they will only show the loud part with people calling "point of order" and will not explain what that means or what you all were trying to accomplish, they will just make it look like OWS or something.

Nonetheless, good work all involved.

Congrats on what you did. After rewatching the video and hearing some of the context here, I understood a lot more. I was in the balcony (as an observer...) so I couldn't see much of anything but the chairman. Although I could hear everything. :)

I'm having Youtube video upload problems. I'll try again later.

yeah i was there from 5am to 5pm , on the still shot of that video. I am the white shirt guy in the middle of the still frame. Notice the establishment guy a few back from me. the guy in the red shirt is shouting to me trying to bully me along with kind words from the neo-cons near the microphone. that was cut off along with sound in the back of room.

In new video i assume. someone caught the gop est saying they had nothing to do with cutting sound or mics. That is him lying to everyone, Flat Out LIE to 700 plus delegates.

please hit comments, all we did was ask about 15 minutes vs a 1 hr lunch on a valid point of order ,they tried to ignore. Then we asked for a valid point of info to have the amended rules read since no one in the room had the amended rules they just passed, no one had it. The chair and the gop est is the madness!!

Alright, here is the video I have. Apologies it was just with my phone and I was on the balcony since I was only observing (only delegates were allowed on the floor).

Anyway, I started recording right after the chair said that "there was a group of folks committed to disrupting the caucus, just like in 2008". This then went into the whole "point of order" segment. I didn't catch everything Kenny mentions, but it hits the highlights. And is definitely more informative than that biased article posted earlier. Note that at some point, we do actually hear someone specifically state the reason for the point of order: we wanted a 1 hr lunch. This is broken up into 2 segments (part 1: 0-10 mins, part 2: 10-~18 mins, no particular reason) since Youtube has a 15 min restriction on HD video, and I didn't transcode:

Part 1:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcbiVmTqY9A

Part 2:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5m_B9Uxxp2Y

The third video is the reading of the rules. Again, I didn't catch the start but I wanted to catch the absurdity of the situation. Notice how they slow down at the end when describing the reasons they can eject any one from the meeting. Maybe that's all they wanted us to hear? :)
