If I get the opportunity to ask him a question, what should it be?

Something based on Panetta's statement and Paul's response?

You could also ask his thoughts on why Ron Paul get's overwhelming support from the troops...

You could ask him about the rising suicide rate and if there is a correlation to ill defined missions/over extension of resources/etc

Yeah, the suicide thing is on my list.

Don't think I should ask any Ron Paul specific questions...

JK/SEA

1. drones surveilling U.S. citizens
2. Patriot groups growing
3. military suicides
4. do you think military spending as it is, contributes a burden on the debt?
5. when can we expect peacetime?
6. boxers or briefs

It's over, and I didn't get a chance to ask a question, but here are some things he answered.

How we can undergo sequestration while at the same time being ready to take action in Syria and Iran and elsewhere.

What kind of treatment Bradley Manning is receiving and whether or not he is a political prisoner.

The effects of budget cuts on military retirement.

The future of cyber warfare in light of the budget.

How the budget will affect naval assets, specifically submarines.

What would be the triggers and preconditions for military action in Syria or elsewhere.

Is it necessary to get Congressional approval for war as the Constitution says, or is UN approval more important. The questioner threw in Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution, the 1973 Presidential War Powers Act, and his recent appearance alongside Secretary Panetta in front of the Senate Armed Services Committee.

The last question was the only one that got applause by the way.
