How does Guam work?

From: http://mvguam.com/local/news/22594-romney-son-to-visit-guam-woo-gop-.html

It says:

This Saturday, at the Sheraton Laguna Resort at 9 a.m., approximately 300 delegates, alternates, village and precinct leaders and guests of the Republican Party will meet to elect state party and national committee officers as well as delegates and alternate delegates to the national convention to be held in Tampa, Fla. in August.

Cruz said Gov. Calvo, Minority Leader Frank Blas Jr. and the chairman of the party automatically become delegates and will be recognized via a resolution.

Where did these 300 delegates come from? Was there an election we missed? Or is this just political inbreeding? Sounds like an uber-closed election that will be tough for Ron regardless.

I found this funny:

...
Rick Santorum is also making a play for Guam's delegates. He talked to GOP leaders by telephone for more than an hour, according to the Pacific Daily News.

In addition to making his case for help to narrow the GOP field, Santorum also reportedly apologized for a joke he made about banishing liberal judges to Guam.

"It was very sincere," Guam Sen. Frank Blas Jr. told the newspaper about Santorum's apology.

Random thoughts (and possibly flashback to my hallucinogenic days), but doesn't Guamney sound like the most devilish creature ever?

But then you call it Guamneycare and it just sounds cute and irrationally optimistic about beaurocratic intervention.

Still beats Arkansantorum, but it's got nothing on Paulorado, where the clouds rain freedom and you ski down the slopes of liberty.... Or snow. Yeah, I'm thinking of snow. My bad.

It seems that all the candidates are heading Ron Paul off at various states. =|

Ron needs to do more shorter, smaller town hall meetings. maybe 20-30 minutes in one town and move onto next town.

His son, Matt, is visiting Guam on Friday not Mitt.

Here is Mitt's schedule in Mississippi and Alabama for Friday:

Santorum is probably going to win Kansas anyway right?

thank you!

Ron has sons....

And one of them is going to Hawaii, right? Maybe he can add a stop in Guam to his trip.

That's a safe bet.

That's a safe bet.

I'm assuming there are proportional delegates?

Well, that's 2 candidates that have now abandoned Kansas. Sounds like good news to me!

I've been thinking the same thing. Why doesn't Ron just get a bus and ride around Kansas for a few days.

Yes. Those who hit 20% get delegates.

With proper campaigning we can get 20%. We need to dump a whole lot of resources into Kansas. Get Ron's sons to do some stumping there.

Might be a good idea to change the title to Matt Romney then...Instead of leaving it just Romney to get views.
