Ron Paul has said he opposes the trade of weapons, did he?

Though we can sell everything else in free trade, why couldn't we sell weapons? Or just basic arms, like AK47s?

(Foreign Policy technically...)

I have never heard that.

Personally whether I live in the UK or the English state I wouldn't agree with selling weapons. But that is another way of making much more revenue. Though saying that, you'd need a military facility to produce weapons. It is no good in being militarily neutral in war and then having to depend on foreign imports of hardware for defence.

The country doesn't (well, shouldn't) trade anything; free trade is between citizens of said countries (or should be).

Weapons sold overseas aren't even theoretical weapons of war, like food aid; they're literally weapons of war. It also subsidizes and grows the military industrial complex.

So a weapons company would do the trade with another country?
