Following a successful march on the White House on Presidents Day, three Iraq veterans have announced that Veterans for Ron Paul will be marching on the RNC to lobby delegates to support Ron Paul in the all-important second round of voting of what many are now certain will be a brokered convention. According to organizers, "The fate of the nation will be in the hands of those several hundred delegate swing voters, who will have to choose between standing with the grassroots of the party, or the establishment that has demonstrated the attitude of Henry Kissinger, who famously said, 'Military men are dumb, stupid animals to be used as pawns for foreign policy.'"

Adam Kokesh, Zakery Carter, and Nathan Cox, all veterans of the Iraq war, released a statement today claiming that the mission of their newly formed Veterans for Liberty Super PAC is to ensure that Ron Paul is elected President. They are calling for veterans and active duty troops to join them at "FOB Domestic Defense" and to be present as a lobbying force for the duration of the convention.

Ron Paul has received more campaign contributions from active duty troops than all other candidates including Obama combined, and the message of the event is simple: Ron Paul is the choice of the troops. The only question is, will the convention delegates side with the troops and the grassroots of the party, or the establishment.

For many of Ron Paul's devoted supporters, this event has a special significance as it may be the last chance they get to march for him. As the hosts said in their open letter to the American people that they hope will serve as a call to arms, (it's titled, Veterans for Ron Paul … FALL IN!) "To our fellow veterans, your oath to the Constitution did not come with an expiration date and your country still needs you. … This may be the last chance you ever get - will you stand with Dr. Paul? The last time veterans marched for Ron Paul, two men raised a brigade … will you help us raise a division?"
