NO! Colbert is a joke and only tried to run to increase his ratings. Look at how much money and time we've all donated to this campaign. Colbert on the ticket will just cheapen all of our efforts and Ron Paul's platform.

Colbert is funny, but I wouldn't want him to be the VP. No way.

ron paul sacrifices himself to participate in the elections and colbert wouldn't mind sacrificing elections to promote himself. i think i was never as annoyed as when i saw he was attempting a candidacy.

I believe you're all taking the wrong approach to this.

If Colbert's supporters embrace us, that's a great thing. We could use the 1,000,000 supporters on facebook, really. Of course we don't agree that Colbert should be Paul's VP, but, if we can get his supporters on our side they would be a powerful asset.

I say let's try to snowball this thing and see where it leads. We need all the allies that we can get.

Does anyone really know where Colbert, the man, stands politically?

I have no clue!! I've often tried making heads or tails of his show and while it is funny I don't understand (maybe because I'm slow) where he is going with it as far as his actual stance on the issues.

Everyone knows Colbert won't have any part in this primary, or administration. Why not use this as a tie in with his name popularity to get a little more name recognition for the Doc?

Lots of Colbert fans may see this and say "Who the eff is Ron Paul???" ... hello new supporters.

Exactly! Whoever started this is on the ball. People who would have voted for Colbert are people who dislike our government and its policies. There is no better alternative than Ron Paul - and I'm willing to bet you that 2/3 of them have never even heard of his name.

Let's embrace these people and add them to our ranks.

Ive always thought he would make a great press secretary, but other than that he should keep to his show.

Finally, someone with a sense of humor.

If Ron Paul were not running, I would vote Stewart/Colbert (in any order) in a heartbeat! I kid you not. How could they possibly be any worse than what we have now? How could any outsider?
