Paul being the only candidate there tonight at the largest caucus in the state in the biggest city certainly helps. Also their rule for voting are very passive allowing cross over voters and of course its a caucus state so whether he's 1st or 2nd in popular vote he'll still most likely come out with the majority of delegates.

Very heavy turnout in District 1. At least there, I'd say it was a tossup between Santorum and Paul.

Same in Grand Forks. I couldn't believe the Santorum presence!! But I brought 4 people along with myself and FB messaged/texted about 20 others, so I've done what I can.

So it was 50/50 Paul and Santorum in your caucus too? Anyone with an edge?

Wow..

What is really interesting is that people like to vote for the most presidential looking, but he doesn't even look like a president.. I know I am not being biased because even when I did respect him some time ago for saying what he believes, I still thought that he did not look presidential. Not only that, but he has an attitude, and he doesn't look like the 'strong, masculine' type. He looks more like a whiner, in my opinion. His hair tends to be untidy, too.

I hope he can finally notch a victory in this state. I'm tired of being dissapointed. I've been let down so many times watching this GOP process.

Well, I don't know. But the states like North Dakota and Montana we have always done well in.

Honestly though I wouldn't expect anything specifically from there. But Alaska is another thing entirely, we nearly won that one in 2008 if I recall.

just imagine how easy it would be to win against Romney if Santorum wasnt in the race and if the campaign took care of Santorum early. XD..

the polls showed santorum in first in the state. They've been right damn near every single contest and yet we still believe that we are going to have some magic result not picked up by the polls?
