About an hour and a half ago. I was only the 17th person to come vote. The turnout seems to be extremely low, and unfortunately our Gov. Bob Mcdonnell has endorsed Romney recently. However, if we can manage to get supporters out to vote we could probably easily carry VA if turnout elsewhere was anything like my area.

is it an open primary there? I can't remember what the deal is with Virginia.

If so, you should be rounding people up off the streets to vote! lol

I was thinking about how I wish I were living in a state that had an open primary so I could do that.

So, does that mean that Romney is serously failing to GOTV in VA?

The problem with Virgina is there are too many people working for the government and government contractors there for Ron Paul to have much of a chance.

Make sure you file to become a delegate to the district and state conventions which select the National Delegate!

We can win the populr vote, and it wouldn't matter if we don't win the delegates.

But people are at work at this hour... Now, if we see such reports from populated area around 6 or 7PM, that would be something to consider...

Voted before work this morning at 645, I was the 6th person at my polling station. So fwiw, another vote for Paul. Btw my boss also voted for Paul so that's two people at my company.

I voted and there was a volunteer handing out Ron Paul literature outside the polling station.

With such a low turnout, the vote flipping algorithm will sit idle. It only kicks in at around 277 votes/precinct.

No, you have to go to the GOP meetings and be 'nominated' to be a delegate. Get in touch with the ron paul office for VA and they'll put you in contact with someone in your area that can help you get started.

In many areas you don't even need to be nominated.

He is in the north of VA, which all has pre-filing. Anyone who files automatically becomes a delegate and can vote on national delegates.

go to fairfaxgop.com if you are in fairfax county (deadline to file MArch 10th), or PM me if in alexandria city(deadline march 17th). Arlington's deadline passed on the 22nd of february.

Check http://rpv.org/official_calls for other locations in VA, or check local GOP websites.

I voted around 8 this morning. The head official there said I was only the 6th person vote. He said by that time (for a normal election) they would have around 150.

Voted absentee a week ago for Ron. The place was absolutely empty, but I figured it would be a week in advance.

You just need to be registered. I confirmed this morning as I got a couple of votes coming our way.

I saw 2 people walk in at my voting location in VA. Super low turnout. It was the DIEBOLD voting machine but Ron Paul was on top in the list :D ..

Since I look young and am in my 20's, everyone there knew who I was voting for ;)

I really hope you are all participating in the conventions for dleegate selection - otherwise your votes are wasted.

We have enough volunteers to completely swamp the conventions, if we would all just participate.
