Just a fun fact. In one of the most crucial struggles between the welfare state and individual liberty only 2 states backed the Republican contender.

lol.... Vermont LOVES the new deal now..... When Governor Richard Snelling died in office and Howard Dean took over the office conservatism died. Snellings policies took hold and were applied to Dean, then Dean used the momentum to make it a Democrat/Rhino state. But to be honest... libertarianism is very much alive and well and the state is not the biggest fan of party lines (Jim Jeffords killed that) and will go with the unconventional choice often (self proclaimed socialist Bernie Sanders anyone?)

Vermont is a Ron Paul wonderland.... people there really do care about issues, just sometimes those issues are not ones I care about :rolleyes:
