View Full Version : How come Gingrich/Santorum Campaigns aren't pushing supporters to vote for Paul in VA?

Since this is a "Survivor" strategy and they tout themselves as the anti-Romney's, why aren't they encouraging their supporters to vote for Ron Paul?

Because their handlers told them not to?

I've said the same thing. You would think, especially in VA - that Santorum & Gingrich would use this strategy.

Too bad they're really only there for one reason - to make sure Paul doesn't win.

Yea, yea...

There is ONE goal in this primary season: make sure Ron Paul doesn't get anywhere close to the nomination.

It is so pathetic.

It's too bad, because without that push or slogan, the Gingrich/Santorum supporters will stay home. Too bad our Campaign/PAC's didn't create an anti-Romney ad that appeals to the Gingrich/Santorum supporters....

The fact that those two AREN'T pushing GOTV for Paul in VA shows the hidden agenda really at play.

Because we have a good chunk of delegates

The unofficial Gingrich grassroots, Gingrich 260 did come out and tell their membership to support Paul.
That's about it though, unfortunately.

Because the entire campaign is fake... Just like Ventura said, politics is much like World Wide Wrestling. You get in the ring, perform to make it appear you hate each others guts... then afterwards you go out to dinner together, your kids play together and you are the best of friends.

Politics aka the news media are fake... just a reality show. It was predetermined Romney would be the nominee, that was cast when Romney dropped out unexpectedley for McCain four years ago. Romney was told he would be the nominee this year, and Santorum/Gingrich and maybe even......... all planned, all contrived for an Obama second term. That's all it is.

Santorum got battered for attempting to target Dems; he won't say it officially but I suspect both Santorum and Gingrich have passed the word to some degree

A PFH GOTV push in VA may educate people who don't realize Romney/Paul are the only ones on the ballot. Maybe we could convince people to vote Paul?

Wouldn't it take forever to explain to people why a vote for Paul is actually a vote for Gingrich/Santorum? You'd have to spend a good chunk of time explaining the delegate stuff.

TPTB would rather us not highlight their machinery.

In fact, I am betting my butt that they make for major pushes across the nation to change from caucuses to primaries after this election. To go further, they'll add duties required of delegates that only the most entrenched will want to perform.

They'll change the rules...again...to make it harder.

And in the process, they'll kill their own party.

They don't want to get their supporters used to the idea.
