So is this what Ron Paul stands for?

"The notion of a rigid separation between church and state has no basis in either the text of the Constitution or the writings of our Founding Fathers."

lol

"the secularists wage an ongoing war against religion, chipping away bit by bit at our nation’s Christian heritage. Christmas itself may soon be a casualty of that war."

it gets better

he sees school shootings, plane hijackings, and other such events as a result of prohibitions on self-defense.

oh god...

Paul introduced The Sanctity of Life Act of 2005, a bill that would have defined human life to begin at conception, and removed challenges to prohibitions on abortion from federal court jurisdiction.[123] In 2005, Paul introduced the We the People Act, which would have removed "any claim based upon the right of privacy, including any such claim related to any issue of ... reproduction" from the jurisdiction of federal courts.

And I strongly agree with the one about self defense. I'm relatively neutral on abortion. I don't think it should be illegal but I don't think people should delude themselves into thinking they are not killing a child. Where I have a huge problem with Ron Paul is with his desire to commit America to International isolationism. His desire to abolish all government services. He wants to completely dismantle the government. The guy has one or two ideas that are good, but then the idiot keeps talking and you realize he is an Anarchist. I have spoken with the guy personally. He is completely delusional. There is not much chance he could do any of that stuff. No member of congress, republican or democrat, would let him dismantle the country. But he could severely weaken our national defense by recalling all US troops back to America as he has said he would. This is not just talking about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, but withdrawing all troops from all overseas bases around the world. After 4 years of Ron Paul we would have 4 years of government shut down or operation only by congress over-riding his vetoes and a complete loss of all our foreign bases. The world will have gone to hell while we sat by with our thumbs up our butts. It would be miserable.

True, but he can push for bills that reduce a lot of the governmental garbage. A choice for people to opt out of social security, for example, isn't anarchistic. A reduction at least, for income taxes--congress would look really bad to the voters if they turned that down. He's not going to abolish the IRS (overnight, or maybe ever), but what he will do is reduce some of the bureaucratic garbage of the syste,.

But he could severely weaken our national defense by recalling all US troops back to America as he has said he would. This is not just talking about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, but withdrawing all troops from all overseas bases around the world.

It's arguable that our foreign bases are *causing* the problem. Osama Bin Laden and his Mujhadeen army were supported by the US, esp. during the Afghan war against the Soviet Union in the 80s. The turning point was when the US used Saudi Arabia as the staging ground for the war in Iraq. He vehemently opposted, which saw the birth of Al Qaeda.

So if we never had foreign bases like those in Saudi, we would've never had Al Qaeda. No Al Qaeda, no 9/11. No 9/11, no need for a expansive, intrusive foreign policy.

The government can MAKE NO LAW. ABOUT RELIGION .. PERIOD...
IT can't say you can't pray in school or that you have to pray in school..

IT can't deny your right to express religion in public life or private life. Anyone who thinks otherwise is pretty ignorant of our founding fathers and their many quotes on the subject..

CAN MAKE NO LAW.. MEANS THEY CAN NOT MAKE A LAW THAT PROHIBITS THE FREE EXCERCISE OF RELIGION..

THE FEDERAL COURTS DO NOT HAVE JURISDICTION OVER ABORTION ` PERIOD..
IT IS THE DOMAIN OF THE STATE. RP JUST WILL MAKE IT A STATES ISSUE.

RON PAUL IS NOT AN ANARCHIST... YOU ARE A SOCIALIST AND THINK IT IS AMERICANISM...

FOLLOWING THE RULE OF LAW AND CONSTITUTION IS NOT ANARCHY... THIS IS ONE OF THE STUPIDEST THINGS ANYONE HAS EVER POSTED.
