There is another story today in national news headlines on yahoo follow up to "gay marine kiss photo going viral" story media did few days ago. First time perhaps there was some newsworthy element with relation to first gay homecoming kiss on camera since Obama ended "don't ask don't tell". But is there any news value in today's headline?
Or Obama's public relations or media are trying to make such photos routine for audiences so they repeat same story with a much larger photo of same kiss?

Why does it have to be about their personal choices? WHY CAN'T THEY JUST FOCUS ON SOMETHING RELEVANT LIKE THEIR SERVICE?

I'm sick, absolutely sick, of the media using sex for EVERYTHING as the primary point of focus.

Or could there be profit motive because "sex sells" and their earlier story on kiss photo got some many hits. Even the thread here on last story had almost 400 replies despite being in hot topics. More hits, more ad revenue.

Who knows but the "Homecoming Marine wanted to show partner his love" headline has absolutely zero news value.

I'm still in agreement that the only thing that upsets me here is seeing a combat marine, in uniform, with his legs wrapped around his partner. It would be just as upsetting to me if it were a marine and his wife, or a marine and her husband. It's just not professional. If the partner had his legs wrapped, I'm ok.
