I'm prouder of being a North Carolinian than I am of just about anything else in my life, so this is particularly disappointing. Wake the fuck up, NC!

Bullshit. I don't believe any of these polls anymore. Ron has gained for the last 4 years and now he's back down to 2008 levels in some places. I don't believe that.

That is not good news. Paul only gets 12% with the 18 to 45 year old people. That means he is last, even in that category.

Even if it was just a 3 way race between Romney, Santorum and Paul, he would only get 12% with the 18 to 45 year old people. He would pick up nothing from Gingrich's departure with that age group, according to the poll.

Age 18 to 45
Favorable 37%
Unfavorable 40%
Not sure 23%

I don't understand why Ron Paul is so unpopular with younger voters in NC.

You are likely correct. This poll shows Paul doing worse, perhaps considerably worse, than in 2008.

I've been seeing an increase in bumperstickers and yard signs. The other day some stranger came by and asked where I got my sign from. I talk to everyone I can... the reception is good, people could really like him. Unfortunately the media here is very mainstream, and most people here don't pay attention. And those that do are paying it to Faux and those types. There are no liberty radio stations. This is a state that does have more than 8% support though. Relax people. A win or 2 on super Tuesday could change everything. Not winning will not help NC sadly.

For some reason, PPP doesn't break out 18-29 any more. 3 months ago, they had separate categories for 18-29 and 30-44. Now they have them combined. We're
still good with our 18-29 I'd assume.

You guys seem surprised by this. NC is just like any other state (hell I live here) in that it is filled with sheeple.

I believe it. As a native Tarheel, born and raised, this state is culturally schizophrenic and politically clueless.

Santorum won my county's straw poll 2:1. But I'm still hopefull Ron will do better in the primary than in 2008. North Carolina has proportional delegate allocation at least.

The GOP base here is a bunch of theocratic asshats. This doesn't surprise me one bit, and I'm a Charlotte native from a long line of Charlotte natives.

It's what the machine will show. Four years ago I stood by myself amongst my social network. I can honestly say that within my circle of 'acquaintance's there has been a 50% gain. Among my family and close friends there was a 90% shift. If one were to factor their interactions...well.
