I hereby submit an idea for a bit of knowledge transfer between the grassroots and the campaign: funny statements donated to the campaign by the grassroots. How about we as the base of support for Ron Paul throw out the best stuff we can?

Here's an example of what I was thinking about, though I KNOW you all can do better:

"We've been dug into a hole so dark and so deep, the only way out is at a 45 degree angle, and the only tool we've got left is a hand trowel."

Sounded funnier in my head, but you get the gist of it. I challenge you all to do better!!!

"There's a reason the mainstream media doesn't want you to hear and understand my message. They have the same reaction to the philosophy of liberty that Linda Blair has to Holy Water."

It's better than that - "Mr. Bernanke, do you do your own shopping?"

1/2 the nation doesn't pay income taxes.
Obama sees that as a fair transfer of wealth.
the other Republican candidates look at that and think its unfair those people aren't paying.
Real conservatives look at that and say we're half way there!

It's better than that - "Mr. Bernanke, do you do your own shopping?"

Yes, it was better than I recalled. I knew it stood out for some reason.

Make fun, Buddy.
I can still remember the expression on his face and the tone of his voice when he said that to Romney.
He seemed so disappointed :(

For those who didn't see this incident during the 2008 cycle:

* "To those people who extol the virtues of gun control, I say, great! Let's start by controlling the government's guns, and work our way up!"

or

* "Once the government can control our guns, what chance will our guns have of controlling the government?"

Here's another actual Ron Paul quote, from a recent House floor speech:

"Where do we spend too much money? In two places: overseas and domestically."

“Let it not be said that no one cared, that no one objected once it’s realized that our liberties and wealth are in jeopardy.”
― Ron Paul

This to me, means a great deal.

this isn't funny but he phrased it perfectly...

"We should have a strong president, strong enough to resist the temptation of taking the power that a president shouldn't have".

- Ron Paul

This one was funny...

"I wish that politicians would deal more in ideas and read more so i'm giving Mr Giuliani a reading assignment, this is what I expect him to read before the next debate."
