in actuallity that exchange was huge in Bernanke agreeing he'd be 'happy to discuss with Ron' allowing people to save in precious metal without capital gains tax when they spent it. Either MSNBC doesn't get it, or they just don't want anyone else to.
And they quote stuff I am sure was from a far earlier time, not this campaign, about not wanting power but influence. (Not that he wants power for itself, but he figured out that he can get more influence if he is perceived as having more power.)
