From what I could tell, it was a very long story about a 15,000 pound tree that Newt wrapped a rope around to try to pull down, and then... stuff happened. Hilarity ensued. There was something about a broom, and a tree surgeon, and it went on and on until even Callista had that "dammit he's telling the tree story again..." look on her face.

It was funny that the voter reaction lines just stayed dead. Newt was just rambling on about thanking people and a story about cutting down a tree. I'm sure the team at CNN were going "WTF is this?"
