Appropriate Places For Flyers?

Hello,

I live in a pretty large metropolitan area and am thinking about putting flyers on bus stops, etc ahead of our upcoming primary. Does anyone know about the legalities of this?

Public property is iffy. Even if it's within your rights (yard signs on public land), it doesn't mean a cop can't harass you. (With bus stops -- private property of your local transit authority -- you're not allowed to post stuff.)

The better rule here is if you do, don't get caught; if you are plead ignorance and tell them an older kid told you to do it. Get a bunch of different posters; don't just stick to the same one. Someone else might be able to direct you to good poster PDFs for printing and hanging, but that wouldn't be me.
