For maximum effect, the goals of this effort should be made clear. I see the following:
1. Increase awareness of the problems with having the Federal Reserve for the average American, including both online and in the streets where will be.
2. Put the Fed on notice- their days are numbered.
3. Have fun! :D Solid advice we get from the good doctor himself.
Others? Disagreements?

exposing:
- the fact that it is part and parcel of an international, criminal banking (money laundering and dope dealing) cartel.
-the fact that war cannot be waged, and the people cannot be oppressed by their governments w/out the endless growth in money supply (and the "trickle down" effect associated w/ wealth distribution via corporate banks) to pay for soldiers, police, prisons, etc. guaranteed by the federal reserve through the invisible, value stealing inflation tax.
(and point out that it really is theft)
-fractional reserve banking, counterfeiting
-the myth of the federal reserve being "federal" that is carried so far that one visits their website it is under a .gov domain (that's a problem).

That's only 15 cents per disk, sounds pretty reasonable to me.
To get it cheaper you could always just rip the movie and put it on a regular CD which is much cheaper, and record it with the Video CD setting so it will play on a DVD player. Maybe have one CD with AFTF and another with Ron Paul clips. Some good clips of RP to include would be any where he's debating the fed chairman, and also that old long debate that's like 7 parts where he's debating some fed guy about the gold standard, and I think theres a good interview with him on goldsilver.com .

i wasn't talking about the rate, i was talking about the total.
eighteen hundred bucks sounds steep (like three months' rent steep) anyway you slice it.

Pass out DVD's is good but obviously optional. Obviously the DVD's should stay topical as much as possible.

We need a chip in for funds. I think handing out DVDs is imperative so people can gain a deeper understanding of whats going on. Also do we need permits? We need to start cracking this ASAP. Where is everybody?

Where is this protest going to be? Nationwide at the 12 Fed banks?

Not sure about objectives... but I'm going to buy a few silver coins on the 23rd. Betting on their failure in a sense.

I know this is illegal (civil disobedience?) but take a whole bunch of $1 bills and burn them in a barrel. :p

Why don't we just stick with Dr. Paul's agenda and points:
monetizing the debt causes inflation and enables unpopular wars
get rid of the monopoly and allow competition
stressing the importance of maintaning the value of the dollar
the artificial credit creation causes the boom and bust cycle in the economy

The Federal Reserve SYSTEM is a hybrid private/governmental one with the board being governmental (hence, .gov) and the reserve branch banks being private banks in a federal system.

I have an idea that I believe would have the greatest affect. For Christmas buy every one in Congress the book "Free To Choose" by Milton Friedman. They spend a lot of time flying on planes so it will give them something constructive to read. Maybe have Ron Paul hand them out on Dec. 17th. That would rock. They'll already be crapping their pants trying to figure out what happened the day before(Boston Tea Party). It will give them motive to read the reasons why Ron Paul is pro-free markets.

Sometimes, the same thing repeated too soon does not get traction, e.g. the November 11th money bomb. I am not sure how much press we will get on the 23rd, or if we can get enough people out.
I like the federal reserve focus a lot. What about doing it on the 15th and 29th, to promote the money bombs of the 16th and 29th?

I like the idea, but we could do it symbolically and still get a good reaction by just using novelty fake paper money instead. It would probably actually be better to use fake money anyways, because we could comment on how it has the same amount of value as the paper money that the Fed prints.

Wouldn't "The Creature from Jekyll Island" (http://www.amazon.com/Creature-Jekyll-Island-Federal-Reserve/dp/0912986212/ref=pd_bbs_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1195720086&sr=8-1) be better ? It's all about exposing the Fed, and even Ron Paul recommends it himself, he's the first editorial review for it on Amazon saying it's "A superb analysis deserving serious attention by all Americans. Be prepared for one heck of a journey through time and mind."

I agree, they would look good on banners also, put quotations and attribute to RP with date and everything. Not everyone would get it, but we could hand out flyers that have a reading list on them. Would Dr. Paul approve of using the word protest? Probably, don't know though. We've been calling it a sign wave event.
