What are some possible web site addresses that could be used for this project?

Here's a few ideas off the top of my head:

http://www.federalreserveprotest.com
http://www.shutdownthefed.com/

http://www.shutdownthefederalreserve.com/ - squatted on
http://www.endthefederalreserve.com/
http://www.thisdecember23rd.com/

Others?

fedup.com is apparently up for sale.

You can't beat simplicity.

Most of those sound pretty decent, I think fedup.com is pretty catchy, but most of those names should work. You can get domain names for like $10 at godaddy.com, so somebody needs to claim those names, especially fedup.com and sort out which one to use afterwards.

Fedup.com is taken but for sale (already a political site too). We can pick a few up from godaddy (what I use for others) -- just thought we'd toss some names out for now and see what good ideas stick and then jump fast.

They all seem good to me, but personally, Inflationistheft.net does it for me.

Maybe try to avoid anything that implies the Fed will/should be abolished outright. It comes across as a bit too radical for somebody not familiar with this monetary issue.

There are ways we could correct monetary policy and not get rid of the Fed.

as long as a private bank is printing money outta nothing & charging interest for it...the problem is not fixed. The only solution is cutting the head of da beast.

Things aren't moving too fast here, I'm not going to be able to work on a web site and if no one else is I say to just keep it simple (we don't need one :)) and work on getting the word out.

I sent an email to the owner of fedup.com. I'll be looking into setting up a website shortly, regardless of whether it's that domain or not, since no one else has stepped up to the plate.

I'm looking for the bow and praise icon guy... :D Great news!

Looks like fedup would cost us $3.5k-$10k, which looks out of our range, for something that in the end is a temporary effort.

In other news: I don't think I'm gonna be able to do this. I was counting on some tech help that didn't materialize, and I'm gonna be entirely too busy to learn how to do all the website maintenance necessary. If I tried to do it, I know at this point I'd fumble.

Sorry to back out, but that's two let-downs in one day for me.

It's only temporary in the same sense that the Fed is. This is supposed to be an ongoing movement, not just a one time event, however I do think wasting $3.5k-$10k on a domain name that isn't that important is dumb, especially when we could spend less than 1/10th that amount and buy every other name that sounds decent and link them all to the site. Anyways, pretty much any other idea is a better investment of resources right now than a fancy domain name.

I agree that a permanent site to be the center of an anti-fed movement is the goal to be working towards. :D

Could we get itulip, ml-implode, or another big anti-fed site to help out?

For the uninitiated a URL with a positive slant might be appropriate:
