and per a reporter tweet, apparently there were about 700 in an overflow room as well, and others still were turned away and offered vouchers to his next event.

Unfortunately the first centered on an 'off beat' person in the crowd of more conventional people, and the second outright lied saying Ron was in fourth place in MI polls -- he is definitely ahead of Gingrich.

Are students this excited when they go to class? Because most of Ron's speeches really are educational lectures and not campaign rhetoric. ;)

This Ron Paul character is getting out of hand with his rallies. They keep getting bigger and bigger... We have ignored him for a while, but as Occupy Wall St showed, we can only do that for so long, before we are forced to cover it.

Well, it was big enough to hold Ron Paul, so it must have been big enough.

It wasn't big enough. There were 1250 seats, plus they were allowed to pack the outer aisles, plus 200 listened in the anteroom through speakers, but even so about 500 were turned away, per media reports. Apparently about 2000 showed up.
